The training

Settings
Notes:
Assistants have finished recovering the field, and finally it is ready to accept heroes and interns for the training day. Shouto greeted everybody, since Katsuki was still weak at public speeches, and invited Sana to start the first aid training. Sana asked everybody to pair up and follow his instructions. There were more than 20 interns. And all of them coped quite well with easy tasks like how to deal with choking, breath loss, work with different types of injuries, wounds, burns, bleeding and so on - everything they could meet while working as heroes. - Now it’s time to learn how to deal with stress. Name the most common signs of experiencing stress, - Sana was speaking confidently and calmly. Some interns raised their hands. - Yes, please. - I..I think it’s…, - started an intern with a stone-creating quirk, he was embarrassed standing in front of two legendary professional heroes. - I always feel that my heart beats faster, my pulse increases and some my body parts get warm. And I panic under stress, I become worse at controlling my quirk. - Okay, good! You’re right, that’s a common thing. And how about your quirk? The girl in red, please. - I can’t control my quirk when I’m stressed out. I mean…at all. - That’s a problem, - peacefully confirmed Sana, - and I suppose most of you experienced that. Raise a hand if you did. Everyone did. Obviously, every hero at the beginning of his path has problems with using and controlling the quirk. Even such stubborn smart asses as Bakugou. Even when they don’t wanna show it. Or care about it. - What’s your name and quirk by the way? - Sana asked the girl-in-red. - I’m Harutoki. The first part of my name can be translated as "time" or "spring", depending on the reading. When I touch somebody, this person becomes unconscious, and his or her mind moves to any bright or emotional moment in the past. I don’t know exactly how the choice of the moment happens. I only know that when you wake up in a past situation, you need to finish it as it was in the past, and then you’ll free yourself and come back to reality. If you would like to change the past, you won't be able to get out of there without my help. But as it's a matter of mind stability I can't help you earlier than 24 hours in real life after you mentally get to the past. Everyone turned their heads to the girl-intern, standing at the end of the line, and started whispering. - One more Midoria, - frowned Katsuki. - Please, keep quiet while we're sharing the experience, - Sana calmed everybody down. - And thank you for the information about your name, Harutoki, it's a telling one.. Let's continue with practice. Now you will be placed in a stressful situation. Mr. Todoroki, you're welcome. Todoroki created a complicated labyrinth with two floors and lots of connections and forks in the road. It was beautiful, ice was glittering in the sun, and the form of the two-storey labyrinth was impressive by itself. Sana started the instructioning. - You need to come to an exit as soon as you can. On the way, you will meet some obstacles and your rivals - students from the other teams. You need to get over them and move on to the finish line before time's up. For each challenge along the way, you get points. You get more points if you help your injured rivals and continue moving forward. But it takes time. Instead of helping, you can fight and move on. At the finish, I will count all the achievements, including the general race time and the actions you've chosen. You have 15 minutes for the race. Pair up, and let's begin! The labyrinth had 12 entries, one entry for each pair, and only 3 exits. 15 minutes is not enough to freeze out, especially when you're always moving, that's how Shouto thinks. Though the students were wearing light clothes on this warm spring day. In fact, interns were moving with stops. They had to slide or climb, they needed to stop and help competitors bandage their wounds, which they got from breaking especially thick ice walls and barriers. The race started, 24 novice heroes rushed forward. Time passed quickly. Finally, 22 interns gradually appeared from the exits. - Where's the last pair? Are they stuck or what? - Katsuki started to get irritated. - Damn dummies, I told you they would freeze in your construction! - You know that hero Cement couldn't help us today, - Shouto took a moment to make a decision, - I'll go find them. Sana, take control over the others, they can start worrying. - Okay, dad. - I'll find them faster from above! - Katsuki pushed off with the help of explosions and headed forward, helping himself with his quirk. Todoroki jumped on the labyrinth and slid by the surface, looking for two people beneath. "Here they are," - shouted Bakugou and Todoroki hurried to him. - I could use my quirk, but don't wanna hurt them. Melt the ice, faster! - Katsuki looked at two terrified interns who failed to break one of the walls, - their quirks were useless in breaking barriers, apparently they relied on a helping strategy. - Almost done, - assured Shouto using his fire side, - Ladies first, - he and Katsuki gave their hands to Harutoki. - Our lady-in-red again, - smirked Bakugou. - Be careful, it must be slippery. Harutoki froze in her spring costume, consisting of a skirt and a sweater. She and her partner had been waiting there for 7 minutes, unsuccessfully trying to break the ice. She took their hands and started to step closer to the hole. As she held their hands and made steps on the vertical surface of the ice, her leg suddenly slipped. She let out a squeak and slid down, still being held by the hands of two heroes. Being frozen and frightened, she activated her quirk for a second, which was enough to make Bakugou and Todoroki unconscious and fall after her into the melted hole. - God damn it! - sweared Sana when he saw his fathers falling down. - You three, help me get them outta this labyrinth! "No time to be polite and gentle. What the heck is goin' on there?" thought Sana running through the ice labyrinth to his parents and two shivering from the cold interns. They came running, and two muscular interns started to break the ice wall, which was too thick for students without strength quirks. Finally, they made an entry and started to pull out the interns. Sana and the other intern took the unconscious bodies of Todoroki and Bakugou and brought them to the hospital luckily located in the office building. Sana looked sadly at his dads, and though he wanted to help them, he had to go back to the students. - I guess it's all for today, you all did good! The winners are teams 3 and 8. And I also want to add points to the teams 4 and 7, who helped me a lot in saving our frozen interns and my..our professional heroes! Thank you. Sana felt down after the accident. Now he needs to wait for 24 hours and ask Harutoki to get his two beloved fathers (and their adventure-seeking asses) back.
