Epilogue

After the day Scourge and Fiona returned the gifts to their owners, the people of Mobiustown began to treat them differently. Now every year they climbed the mountain to them and celebrated the New Year with them. When Scourge realized that Fiona was already old enough, she left home and began living with her sister Zooey and her husband Espio. Moreover, the sisters wanted to catch up together. Tails became the new lieutenant and monitored fair order in the city. Under his supervision, from now on there will be no more bullies and no one will bully anyone anymore, as was the case with Knuckles and Scourge. Ice, Vanilla and Cream were no longer a poor family and began to live like other families in the city. Now, thanks to the fact that the city never had a mayor or government again, each resident decided for himself how to live and what to do, and from that everyone had as much money as he wanted. In addition, the stores now had low prices, a lot of goods and many queues. Eggman could not endure such a life, and over time, one summer he left the city and went into exile. Since then, no one has seen or heard from him again. Over time, everyone has forgotten about him, like Knuckles. And Scourge and Shade got married and lived happily ever after.
All this news throughout the winter was read through a magnifying glass by another huge snake-hedgehog similar to Shadow. He laughs at everything he read and eats the entire newspaper, after which he picks his teeth with the claws of his right little finger and says to himself:
β Yeah! Yeah! I believed it! What nonsense!
Tails comes out of the store in armor like a samurai and brings two glasses of hot chocolate. He keeps one for himself, and gives the other to Shadow.
β Can you imagine? In the newspapers of this world they write that in this city there was a certain fox who disappeared somewhere in the mountains, grew up and, having descended from the mountain to the city, found her married sister there. Well, it's not nonsense, is it?
β Yes, I agree. A bit of a stupid story. This can only be imagined in some Mexican TV series that get worse with each new season. β the fox suggests and, together with his naked friend, drinks hot chocolate from cups.
β Because the only thing that was written there that was normal and that is more like the truth is that a certain evil naga from the mountain, who used to hate the New Year, was re-educated and even married some red-haired echidna.
β Also from the naga race?
β No, judging by the photograph, she was a Mobian.
β That's right, Mobiustownian! β Luz Bucket corrected them, standing next to a lamppost and waiting for his bus. β Sorry, I overheard it by accident. I've been waiting for the bus for half an hour.
β Some strange inhabitants in this world. Can we go from here? β Tails suggested.
β You are right. β Shadow agreed, and the fox in armor, along with his naga, went into the alley. There is some kind of flash and traces of those two seem to have evaporated. Luz finally waited for his bus and got on it, singing:
β Eh, Frost, Frost!
