God of Walkers

Lily slowly opened her eyes. The room was lit by the warm and bright sunlight. Is seemed it was an another horrible day.. Suddenly the walker understood, that she could see a dark silhouette, hiding among the rays of light and standing not far from her bed. Lily immediately jumped off her bed and was ready to fight an unwaited guest, but after a few seconds her eyes were able to recognize the face of walker #0. — Alan?? What are you doing in my house? Another gross stuff, huh? — I'm here to pick you up on your first day of work,— #0 replied, slightly smiling — What work? Are you drunk again or something? You know, just get out of my hou-, — said pissed off Lily, pointing at the door. — You're a devil now, aren't you? Lily has frozen in shock for a few seconds. — Kind of. So what? — Well, don't you know what job does this title require and what workplace? — Wait.. how am I supposed to.. are you going to unalive me right now or something?! — yelled Lily. — Noo!.. Actually you're not really "alive", — Alan nervously giggled, — a demonic being can switch between worlds without any consequences, so don't worry, dress up, and we'll go. Lily growled with irritation, but really started dressing up. — You could at least tell me you were going to come. What if I slept naked? — Ahhh, don't worry. I'm a God, I've already seen you na- This was a moment, when Lily has thrown a shirt at his face. — Jerk.. Lily has quickly brushed her hair and returned to the guy that was patiently waiting for her. — So, you ready? Perfect. Now.. — said Alan, offering Lily a handshake — Wait, I'm not gonna touch this. — What, Why? — We both know you licked it instead of washing. — What?? I did not. — Well, how do I know it? — Ahhhh, fine!! — #0 rolled his eyes back and went to the bathroom. After a couple of minutes he returns, showing his hands being wet and just washed and offering a handshake one more time. — Now I trust you. — said Lily and the very moment she has touched Alan's hand she felt dizzy and stopped realizing where she exactly was that moment. The only thing she could hear was "Hehehe, well, you didn't tell me to use the soap". This weird statement seemed to sound right in her mind and this pissed her off even more. Suddenly she started noticing a weird feeling of heat around her, but she still was not able to see a thing. After a few seconds she finally felt the floor under her feet and saw the light in front of her eyes. The picture was slowly getting more and more clear, until Lily could finally see the place where she has just arrived: the hell itself. That was the moment when Lily understood, that #0 was still holding her hand, and she almost immediately freed it with some sort of disgust. This place was pretty much stereotypical.. the dark space, dimly lit with fire and magma that somehow did not leave any burns on Lily's skin, even though she was still looking like human. Also, Lily could see some creatures from afar.. But no signs of civilization at all. — You didn't have any fantasy, while creating this place, did you? — asked the Devil, looking back at Alan. #0 almost started replying, when he could hear a phrase, that immediately hurt his brain with its appearance and made Alan shrink his eyes and put his hands on his head: "Sensoric!". — Heyy, you fine? What is going on? — asked Lily, nervously looking at him. — Yeah, fine. Just... them... doing this to me again, — said Alan after taking a deep breath and relaxing a bit, — nothing unusual to worry about. Lily just shrugged her shoulders and started her way towards a completely new world for her to explore. He could talk about literally anybody and she felt like it was not really her busyness right now. #0 walked right after her. Lily tried to remain calm, while having a walk among demons and the sinners that were tortured by them. She couldn't say she was terrified but anyway that felt somehow weird for an individual that has lived the whole his life in the human society. Anyway, since this day all of them are now under her responsibility and only she decides what to do with them. — Yeah, the infrastructure of this place definitely needs some development.. — thought she, sometimes taking a look back at Alan. To her surprise, she could notice some of the demons being happy to see him and sometimes even saying quiet "Hellos". Lily felt like all of them were thinking that she was just an another human sinner soul in the presence of a celebrity, and it irritated her a bit, so she tried keeping a distance. But the whole this situation still felt weird and Lily was pretty much confused and almost ready to ask Alan about everything, when they suddenly stopped and #0 started speaking — Dear demons and sinners, this day has come. You all know that I've been working hard lately, and it has become pretty difficult for me to rule both heaven and hell in last 100 years. World wars, technology development and the apocalypse.. I wanted to prevent similar events in future and decided to participate in the lives of my people outside the afterlife. But it only made everything more complicated and exhausting, so now I'm happy to introduce you the new Devil. Her name is Lily, and I'm pretty sure she'll be perfect for this title. I've personally chosen her and I hope you'll be able trust her too. — A pretty inspiring speech for a cat-guy tho, — thought Lily and slightly smiled. — And since now, — Alan continued, — I leave this place almost forever. Bye, guys! Suddenly Lily could hear how hundreds of souls and beings got disappointed and even kinda sad. "We will miss you"; "You were such a cool guy!"; "Please, stay!": were the things, that Lily could hear the crowd say. This was weird and maybe somehow unusual for her: to hear something like that about the very person who was a complete childish bastard in her eyes. Alan only smiled, nodded, said the last goodbye and walked a bit towards Lily, smiling and sweetly saying "To be back to human world, just imagine yourself holding my hand and this feeling you've experienced. After a while you'll be able to switch between worlds without that. Okay?" Even though Lily did not want to imagine such a disgusting feeling one more time, she just nodded and watched Alan's picture dissolving right in front of her eyes. When she made sure the God has gone, she just smiled and turned into her demonic form. — Let's start our acquaintance.. *** — Why did you even mention the wars and how hard were they for you. Weren't they like.. your decision? — Well, actually, not completely. I've taken those events from the world where I come from. All "my decisions" are connected to walkers, solar storm etc.. And actually they were not completely mine. These were the ideas of Kristian, my colleague at my.. busyness, let's call it that. I only accepted and developed them. — Oh, well, you really do seem not to have any fantasy at all.
