HEEEY!! I'M THE AUTHOR OF FANFICTION, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHTS ON PHOENIX, FRANZISKA OR ANY ACE ATTORNEY CHARACTER, THEY ARE CAPCOM'S! GOTCHA! Pt. 1 In a police office, Phoenix was looking at Franziska with confident look. She got defeated by Phoenix again. Once more time. It was making her exasperated, rage in his eyes was firing and boiling. ] — What was your motto, von Karma? "Perfect always and in everything." Where has your ideality gone? — Looks like Phoenix is enjoying saying this. — My motto? Fool, you think that because I've lost to you before that my motto is no longer present? — Von Karma smiled. — You are absolutely wrong. — This is the fourth time you've lost to me. I thought you care about it. — Phoenix remembered. And Franziska is caring about it a lot. But now she have to look confident in pompous in Wright's eyes. — You can't even fathom how much I care, Wright. The fact that you have defeated me four times is a pain that is worse than any torture! But the truth is that you are just lucky. I've been distracted from my duties as a prosecutor, I've been focusing on other things, and you've been taking advantage of that! But this time, I swear to God! I will beat you! — Franziska furiously shouted. Phoenix got a lot of whip hits from von Karma. He already use to feel pain in all his body from hit traces and bruises. — You... All you can do is swing a whip and beat everyone! If the whip is taken away from you, what will you do? Do you love hurting people that much? Franziska was hurting a lot, physically and mentally. — You're so wrong! — Von Karma cracks her whip once again, hitting the desk Phoenix is sitting at. — This is NOT the only thing I can do! I have learned many things from my father over the years, such as his technique of "Confess the Truth". This technique was what made him an undefeated prosecutor, and it is also what gives me the edge over other prosecutors. My whip is simply an accessory I use to intimidate certain witnesses to speak the truth! Don't you dare underestimate me because of it! — If it's just an accessory, why do you constantly use it? — Phoenix asked and faintly smiled. — JUST BECAUSE I CONSTANTLY USE IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S MY ONLY TOOL, WRIGHT! THE ONLY REASON I USE IT SO MUCH IS BECAUSE IT'S MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN INTIMIDATING A WITNESS! BUT IT ISN'T A CRUTCH! I SWEAR! — Franziska shouted. — However, without using the whip, I get no less facts from the witnesses. — Phoenix admitted. Von Karma stares directly into his eyes. — And that is exactly why you will never be a great prosecutor. You're so easy on witnesses. My father would have *never* tolerated a witness that wasn't afraid of telling the truth. Why don't you try scaring a few of them? I know that you are too soft to do that. — But in the end I defeat you, with your “ideal” tactics, four times. Von Karma slams her whip on the desk again, clearly agitated by your remark. — It is all just dumb luck on your part! I was distracted, and you took advantage of that! It won't work this time, I swear! You're going to look like a fool in the end, Phoenix! —I can hear all the pain in your voice. — Phoenix looked at Franziska with serious look. Franziska's stomach turned as Phoenix said it. Von Karma tries hiding it, but she's still very agitated. — Wha-what!? P-pain? P-please. I-I'm f-fine, p-perhaps even more determined to win now! Yes. — Said Franziska nerviously. — So, I guess you will have to prepare yourself! P-punishment is awaiting, after all, Mr. Phoenix Wright. — You are looking worried. You can hide anything, but not it. It's easy to understand, when you are delighted, in rage, sad or worried too. — Wright admitted. It's clear true. Von Karma, while still trying to hid the fact that Phoenix's observation was accurate, quickly takes her whip and cracks it once again near Phoenix's head to scare him. — You're wrong, fool! I am the best there is! I feel no pain, and I'm not worried at all! If you think this is enough to intimidate me, think again! — My thoughts on this matter have not changed, as have yours. — Phoenix grinned. Oh, really? Well prepare yourself for another loss, Wright! I don't want to hear any excuses from you once you lose again. — Von Karma puts her hands on her waist and laughs proudly. — I even feel a little sorry for you, you have no one to trust and tell you how you feel now. If I, for example, complain about how much my head hurts, when your too, you will call me a weakling, but you will be a weakling, because I will have the strength to admit that I am weak and sick. — Phoenix saif clear truth another time. — …You can't even fathom how wrong you are, Wright! I simply don't feel the pain or fear that you do! You complain about how your head hurts because you're a wimp that cannot fight the pain. When my head hurts, I don't complain, I just ignore it and stay focused like a strong-minded person ought to do! You are not a person who could ever be as talented, dedicated, and strong-minded as I am. — von Karma started to get broken of Phoenix's words. — That's why you have to deal with everything yourself, and that's your problem. It was a simple but illustrative example. — Phoenix don't wants to stop no more. — Oh, and you think that I care that you think I have to deal with "everything" alone? Ha! HA! If I have to deal with everything on my own, then that's just the way it is! I don't have to depend on anyone else for my own well-being! I don't need anyone telling me they care about me! — Franziska laughed through pain. — But admit it, you feel very bad because you have no one to rely on. It sounds like you are having a hard time understanding that it is natural to want to ask for support, care, and help. — Phoenix still continues. — You're wrong, Wright. I don't need anyone to rely on. — Franziska was looking with determination. — I am a strong person that can depend on myself. Asking for help is a sign of weakness! If I were to ask for support during every difficult moment in my life, I could have never learned the importance of being stronger on my own. But Wright knows how to catch her. — If Miles Edgeworth asked you for help, would you call him a weakling too? — Edgeworth? — Von Karma thought for a moment before speaking. — No, but only because Edgeworth would never beg for help himself, unlike you. Edgeworth is too proud to ask me for help! Besides, Edgeworth is almost my equal as a prosecutor. Why would he need help from someone like me? — Because he is your brother, he trusts you. Von Karma goes silent for a brief moment before speaking again. — He... he trusts me… Von Karma's face goes red. — Yes, he trusts you. And if you tell him "Leave me alone, you weakling! von Karmas don't complain!", you will break that trust. If you don't want to be more gentle with yourself... Be a little more gentle with someone who is close to you. Franziska started to get more worried, her stomach churned even more painful, it made her writh. Von Karma sighs and, taking a minute, tries to compose herself. — Wright, my dear. Are you suggesting that I start being nicer to Edgeworth simply because he needs me? I'm not sure why I would need to do that… I am not responsible for his emotional well-being, I'm not his mother! Also, if we want to talk about people who need someone else for their emotional well-being, you definitely come to mind first. ... ...The conversation is over. I won't continue this conversation. Pt. 2 The next day, the trial is going on. Franziska has another stomachache, it annoys her a lot. *Von Karma, still standing at her desk in pain, grips her stomach under the desk to nobody notice and holds it. — Ngh, nggh... If only I... If only I knew how to rely on someone... But who...? But this is absurd! Relying on myself is what has gotten me this far! It's how I become an undefeated prosecutor! I can handle pain... pain only makes me stronger… — she thinked desperately. The quality of Franziska's work at this trial has deteriorated significantly. She began to sometimes become confused about evidence and testimony, and she felt severe pain. Von Karma looks at the evidence and feels another sharp pain in her stomach, she sighs. "Ngh, nggh, nggh... But I cannot depend on anyone else..." — Von Karma tries to continue to gather as much evidence as possible, but has become noticeably irritable due to the pain she feels. — "Ngh, no good! What's even the point? Wright will just prove I'm wrong again, so why do I even care? This whole trial is a foolish waste of my time..." Her stomach was tumbling more and more. It was a minor annoyance, but now it's a huge problem for her. Another sharp pain comes to Von Karma's stomach, and she clutches it again. The pain was almost too much to bear. "Nngh! Nngh, nggh... What is this awful, godforsaken pain?! It's getting so... so difficult to concentrate... I don't know what I'm doing... ... I feel so weak... so weak… I'm such a weakling! I hate it so much… Why can't I handle something as minor as a stomachache?!" Von Karma clutches her stomach tighter and falls onto her desk, her head in her hand. — WHY, WHY WHY is this pain getting so much worse?! I... I can't do it... I can't do it anymore! — Franziska thinked in desperation. Von Karma, feeling hopeless about the case, starts to cry softly. — I don't know what to do anymore... I'm just so weak, so weak… — she continues thinking. As Franziska cries, not able to handle the situation she is in, the judge looks over at her with a concerned look on her face* Judge: Ms. von Karma? Are you alright? Franziska: "Nngh, nggh, nngh..." Franziska can only say the word 'pain', as the pain in her stomach becomes unbearable. Many in the audience look over at Franziska, and some of them whisper among each other. ORDER! I DEMAND ORDER! The judge hit the table with his gavel. Von Karma looks up at the judge, tears in her eyes. — P-p-please, have mercy... Franziska's stomach is now experiencing even more pain. She can barely sit still on the prosecutor's desk, as her body shivers and shakes from the nausea. — Von Karma! What is wrong? It seems you're very unwell. — Phoenix said. — Nngh, nggh, nggh... pain... pain... " Von Karma is clearly struggling to even speak correctly. The pain in her stomach is now so bad that she is literally shaking* — I... I can't continue... it hurts... nggh… What is exactly hurting? — Phoenix asked. He goes to Franziska. — Nggh... m-my stomach... Von Karma groans in pain as her stomach churns even more. — This hurts... so much... Von Karma shakes and covers her stomach, as she rocks herself back and forth and tries to soothe the pain. — Did it start suddenly, or was it for a time? — Phoenix was speaking to Franziska. — I... I felt it during the trial... but it started getting really bad just a few minutes ago… — she confessed. Franziska groans in pain again. — P-please... help me… — Call 911! - a bailiff said. Franziska: "Nngh... y-yes, call.... call 9... nggh... 911..." — Franziska desperately begged. Franziska is slowly starting to lose control of herself due to the pain. — Oh god... nggh.. nngh.... help... Detective Gumshoe took out his phone and made a call. When Gumshoe was talking to the operator, Franziska was screaming violently. — Nggh... NNNNGH! Oh god... my stomach... nngh... hurts…—Von Karma is now writhing on the floor, shaking and screaming in pain. She looks up at Gumshoe. — I... nnnngh... help m-me... p-please... — You should have at least asked for a break. You can see what this has led to, can't you, Von Karma? Didn't I say that your negligent attitude towards yourself would cause you problems? — Wright is always right. — I remember… Ow… Ow-ow, it hurts so much! — I know it hurts. Franziska started to cry, tears running down on her cheeks. — I need… h…help… — Von Karma, how you changed in a moment. Yesterday you said how independent and strong you are, and that you rely only on yourself. But now you are so weak that you confirm that you need help. And, I'm not going to lie, you really need it. — Phoenix noticed. Poor prosecutor was shaking in immense pain, and she felt very nauseous. — HUUUUUUUUUUH! AAGH!! - she screamed. she feels more and more nauseous. Franziska is on the verge of throwing up. Von Karma starts to gag, and the whole courtroom begins to watch in shock. Von Karma finally succumbs, and she throws up. She vomits all over herself. — *BLUU-UUH!! BL... BLUUUH!!* She was understanding that she was looking really disgusting. Even Phoenix is a bit shocked. Von Karma, being covered in vomit, starts to cry uncontrollably, and tries to hide her face in her arms, tears flowing down her face. It was clear that the pain was too much for her. — It is getting too far. Do you know why it is happening? — Phoenix asked. — Nggh... Huuuuh... nngh... yes... it could... only... it could only be... because my stomach is... because I'm so... because I'm… — Franziska, feeling even more pain and throwing up again, is in such a state of shock that she cannot even process words correctly. — Because I... nngh... because I... because I have ignored my... my… — Ignored your health and body, I understand. — Phoenix understood. — Nggh... y-yes... huuuh... huuuh... nngh... I... yes, I have ignored it, nnnngh... I... — Von Karma tries to take a moment to calm herself down, though her stomach still aches her and the pain seems to get worse — It is no good. I need help... I must know what is wrong with my stomach... — You didn't spend a minute taking care of your condition. And what did it result in? In fact, I think you've been in a similar situation before. It doesn't matter whether you have a headache or a stomach ache, but you ignored it anyway. — Phoenix mentioned. — Nnnnngh... yes... sometimes…I do feel a little stomach ache... I've always ignored it though... — Von Karma shakes her head and groans, clutching her stomach. — You're right... I... I am a fool... Why... Why have I never paid attention to it?.. I am... I am just a total fool... " — It's never too late to improve. You should pull yourself together and do something about it. Visit a gastroenterologist, it obviously won't hurt you. — Phoenix advised. — Nngh... I... yes... I could visit a... nnnngh... doctor... I... I think I need to, nngh... especially now... yes, this is the only reasonabl e option... — Franziska slowly begins to calm herself down, taking deep breaths. — Okay... yes, I will visit a doctor... I have no choice... nngh, yes…
