Born to die

Settings
In a quiet village, far from noisy cities and the passing of time, an old Castle rested. In one of its dark corners lived Death — a mysterious and mysterious entity, the personification of the end of life. Death has chosen for itself a cute and slightly disturbing mask in the form of a skeleton covered with dust. Tiny diamonds glittered on it, given by tender tears, which she collected from people before they left. In her fragile hands were magic books where all the events were recorded, like an invisible web of fate. Death patronized the light and dark time of the existence of human souls, watching them like stars in the sky. Her quiet steps were reflected in every noise of approaching trouble, she was always an uninvited guest and eclipsed any joy like a cloud in the blue sky. But the Castle, amid the shifting twilight and moonlight, has acquired a special slightly satirical atmosphere. The walls seethed and neighed from the continuous funny jokes, and Death witnessed the most confusing and senseless events. No, she did not teach people to banal black humor, but only reminded them what vain and amazing creatures they are. So, one day, Death watched as a young prince, on the silk coverlet of his bed, decided to become a great hero and save his beautiful princess, who was locked in a high tower. Days and months passed, but the prince, with undying romance in his eyes, could not cross the moat of the flooded lands, make the ancient elevator move up or dry up the swamp. He was ambitious and proud of his abilities, but instead of heroic salvation, he brought only laughter and disappointment to the soul of the princess. And when it finally dawned on him that he could not overcome the obstacles, the young prince fell into despair from the fact that he, it turns out, could not fulfill his destiny. Death, having looked at this comedy of life's mistakes, opened her shiny closet and took out a mirror from there, which became her faithful companion. She unfolded it in front of the prince, and in his sparkling eyes, he saw laughter and tears glistening with moisture on grimaces.
