A word about Lumen

Settings

Briefly about the dragon tribes of Lumen:

1. RayWings              These peace-loving dragons live in a vast desert in the eastern part of the continent. They differ from other Lumen dragons by unusually large wings, in which they can safely wrap themselves up on a cold night, as if in a strong and warm blanket. Let such wings seem uncomfortable, but they allow RayWings to soar over the desert for a long time without making extra swings, and also have the property of "accumulating" sunlight and heat, like a battery, and at the will of the owner to release them outside, warming and illuminating everything that is nearby. In addition to wings, RayWings are also notable for their color, which is often dominated by sand and similar colors, allowing dragons to merge with the environment of their native desert.       Their society is fragmented and consists of nine clans that either do not maintain any ties with each other at all, or occasionally exchange news and supplies at common camps. If there is a need to get together and solve some common problem, like a major AcidWings attack, then invitations are sent to all clans to an urgent meeting of the Council of Sands, where all further actions are discussed. RayWings live due to developed crafts such as creating fabrics of amazing quality, as well as forging unique weapons, which, however, not all clans are engaged in. 2. AcidWings              These dragons live wherever there is food, water and there are no enemy spears. Their main distinguishing feature is a deadly weapon — a special acid that is produced by special glands inside the throat. At will, they can release it outside, and after prolonged training, even shoot acid at an impressive distance. In addition, AcidWings stand out strongly from the mass of other dragons due to collars on their heads, which can open wide like those of predatory snakes. In addition to collars, AcidWings differ in the structure of their bodies, in particular the hind legs, which from birth are predisposed to fast and long running, while the front paws should only play an auxiliary role and because of this are not as developed as those of the rest of dragons living on the continent. This is mainly due to the fact that in battle, the favorite tactic of AcidWings is "Hit—and—run", which involves more running than flying. Their body coloring is extremely diverse and full of colors: green, brown, red, gray, and at the same time, almost all of them have countless spots scattered over their bodies and collars, which can be either in the tone of the main color or completely not combined with it.       For the most part, AcidWings are nomads, after which the earth seems to be experiencing a whole series of natural disasters. They prefer to pass through the lands of AzureWings and RiverWings, since there is always something to get profit from. Sometimes they also enter Ferrumcore, from where they are constantly being banished by increasing security over and over again, and for unknown reasons, they do not approach the mountains at all. Almost the entire life of an AcidWing is spent in constant battles and battles, so that their main and priority occupations are military affairs and military training. All of them are under the rule of one ataman, who, by right of the strong, leads this tribe, more like a huge army, and gives those orders that he himself wishes. The current leader of the AcidWings is Scavenger, who, together with his assistant Alkali, keeps almost the entire continent in awe. 3. MountainWings       These dragons have inhabited the inaccessible mountains and rocky peaks in the southeast. They stand out with large bodies, similar to stone voluns, and powerful muscles that allow such titans to move in their habitat on a par with the rest of the inhabitants of Lumen. MountainWings have small wings in the span, because of which they do not make the best flyers, and hooked curved claws that allow climbing mountains and rocks. Their color varies from gray to black, occasionally flashing brown or dark red, which makes them very unremarkable. The whole kingdom is located in one settlement that stretches along the shores of Claw Lake, the largest inland body of water on the continent. It is regularly replenished with water from the tops of mountains and underground water, so it does not dry out from year to year.       Forced to desperately search for food in the mountains, MountainWings are widely engaged in agriculture, growing various cold-resistant crops near water. There are also the largest mines on Lumen in their kingdom, and it is MountainWings that supply most of the minerals to the rest of the tribes. Despite extensive trade ties, these dragons are very uncommunicative and have almost no contact with other tribes. Some of them, except for merchants, fly to Ferrumcore to stay there for good. Surprisingly, even migrants are rare to talk about their homeland, which makes MountainWings seem mysterious and grumpy. They are ruled solely by King Svir, the only king on the continent. 4. RiverWings       These dragons have inhabited the incredible water spaces of the Wolf River Delta in the southwest of the continent, and at the same time appropriated the rest of the river and the nearby swamps, even if they almost never come there. Since the flow of the river is quite strong, they have large and powerful tails that help them stay in the water, maneuver freely and move around. Of course, as dragons, which spend a sufficient part of their time in the water, RiverWings have gills and webs on their paws, as well as dorsal ridges on their heads and backs, which make it easier for them to stay underwater. Basically, their color is dominated by blue and green, and their shades are sometimes mixed with red or purple.       RiverWings are mainly engaged in agriculture and the extraction of seafood, which are then regularly sold to Ferrumkor. Their society, like RayWings, is divided into seven villages scattered throughout the Delta, only RiverWings, unlike the desert dragon clans, constantly keep in touch with each other. Each village is led by its own elder, and the Council of the Seven is convened for any occasion, where they all gather to discuss pressing issues. Being comprehensively fed by nature, these dragons do not enter into any conflicts and approach everything that happens on the continent from a position of neutrality. However, even if they do not attack first, they are able to hit back, and therefore successfully repel AcidWings attacks, which periodically become more frequent on one or another site. 5. AzureWings       The forests in the northwest of Lumen are fraught with beauty and danger, and their inhabitants do not belong to anything specific from that. These dragons are known for their feather cover, covering them almost all over their body, with the exception of certain areas. In addition to feathers, they have at their disposal two pairs of wings, the main ones that are slightly in front, and the auxiliary ones that are smaller and are located slightly behind. Thanks to them, AzureWings can fly superbly, which helps them in everyday affairs. Among other things, they have bone growths on the wrists of their paws, and some manage to use them as weapons. All AzureWings have slender and elegant bodies, which are in no way comparable to, for an example, those of MountainWings.       As if to match the appearance, most of the inhabitants of the Azure Forest are pompous proud dragons who despise everyone except their own kin and believe that they are the only "right" dragons. AzureWings are engaged in blacksmithing, mining ore in mines and growing fruits, even if they can never surpass other tribes in some things. All of them unconditionally obey Queen Feathershot, and their whole life is spent in the service of their kingdom. 6. ForestWings       It is said that these dragons live in the northernmost parts of the Azure Forest, where its other inhabitants do not look. Or they are afraid to look...       It is known that their color is dominated by green and its shades.       They are rumored to be able to predict the future and talk to animals.       The truthfulness of the rumors, as well as the very existence of the tribe as such, no one and nothing confirms.       According to the same rumors, Queen Branchleaf rules the forest.

The Lumen Prophecy:

Breathe your fire, open your eyes and wings,

Or you and your land will drown in the seas,

Fields and meadows will be poisoned,

And everyone of you imprisoned.

Secrets are lurking in their eyes,

Secrets are lurking in their fire.

Their leader never lies,

But nevertheless, he is a liar.

Awaken all of your fire, eyes and wings,

Or your land will be stolen.

Your close friend is not who he seems,

And he is not what they say about him.

Awaken fire, eyes and wings,

To preserve your land and life.

He was believed, and he still believes.

So you believe and cherish life.
