Chapter 1
A cold wind blew through the cracks under the doors and whistled, rolling between the rooms. Outside the window stretches an icy desert powdered with fresh snowdrifts. It was good that it was dry and warm in the walls of the apartment, illuminated by the dim light of the fireplace.
The green moved closer to the hearth. Despite the fact that the room was warm enough, she was still shaking from the cold. For the climate here, she had a surprisingly unpleasant habit of dressing not according to the weather.
