It is he! — he said, pointing his finger at him and all the children ran towards him enthusiastically, and Sonic, thinking, did not notice or hear them. And when they had already run up to him, only then did he come to his senses. — Sonic-Sonic, we are your big fans! — the first boy began. — Is it true that you yourself decided to put yourself on trial in order to prove to everyone that you are not dangerous? — asked the second boy. — Can I get your autograph? — asked the third boy. — Uncle Sonic, why do you live with the policeman’s uncle? - asked the girl. — Will you give us a ride on your back? - asked the fourth boy. — Stop, stop, stop! — the hedgehog drowned out all the questions from the boys and girls. — Children, listen! At that moment, through the kitchen window, the same bus could be seen arriving on the lawn near Wakowski's house, whose windows the passengers opened and looked out, looking through binoculars through the window at Sonic inside the house. The guide did the same, holding a megaphone in his left hand and binoculars in his right. — And to your left, inside this house, as you can see through the window, is a charming humanoid blue hedgehog, which has proven that it is intelligent and not at all dangerous to all humanity. Having hacked the security of one of the sites for ordering tickets for a plane flying to Russia, he automatically accepted orders for four tickets, after which he received a code that he wrote down on a piece of paper and hid for a long time.

      Tom Wakowski arrives first, showing the code on a piece of paper that Tails gave out in secret in order to get tickets for tomorrow in advance. — Unfortunately, we have to refuse you. Someone on your behalf hacked our database and did not pay.

At the same time

      Sonic went outside with Maddie to do yoga, when suddenly the same bus with a tour guide and passengers arrived again. — This adorable hedgehog proved that you can change the world, despite the threats of the government and the military. — Listen, maybe it’s enough to come here for me? You should invite more guests to our home! — hedgehog said sarcastically, and the bus passengers decided that he said this in all seriousness and drove away.

      Without asking, a bunch of people from the city came to Wakowski’s house with balloons, and the military and the major came with them, in case the hedgehog dared to do something bad. Tom and Maddie were still at the airport at that time and were trying to book tickets themselves while no one was possibly watching them. Sonic and Tails were alone at home at that time. They had no choice but to entertain the guests with music, dancing and drinks. — You're great, Sonic! Yepi-i-i! — someone said. Only the military and the major treated them with suspicion. And when all the guests had already left the house along with the military, the hedgehog and the fox themselves put the whole house in order. Who would have thought that these people wouldn't take Sonic's words as sarcasm? And when Tom and Maddie returned home, they were glad that the tickets had been booked and they were leaving tomorrow. Of course, they also said this in silence in the basement, in case they were overheard again.

      While the Wakowskis and their alien friends were getting ready, an old postman, somewhat similar to Marvel comic book author Stan Lee, knocked on the house and gave Tom a letter from the airport, where he and Maddie had booked tickets themselves yesterday. The letter contained their own money, which they paid, and a letter, which Tom unfolded and read aloud: — Unfortunately, we are forced to refuse you a flight to Russia and will return your money for the tickets back. We ask for your forgiveness! Sonic, unable to bear it, freaked out, became covered in lightning and slammed his fist into the wall, punching a hole. He understood perfectly well that it was the military and Major Bennington who somehow found out that they were trying to escape and set up the whole thing. Although they already tried to be careful so that they would not be followed or eavesdropped on what they were up to. While he was catching his breath, he didn't notice how Maddie hugged him from behind. — We are very sorry that nothing worked out! — But how are they?... I thought that I was a professional hacker and mechanic. It is impossible for anyone to hack my defenses and devices. — Tails was indignant, also examining the letter. — Never mind! One thing is clear for sure! We won't fly anywhere. — Tom was upset. He then looked at the droid outside the door that was spying on them. — WHAT ARE YOU STARING??? At night

      Lying on his bed, the blue hedgehog looked at the ceiling and was sad. The major and the military apparently were not joking when they declared that they would always keep an eye on each of them and would not leave them alone. And it’s all his own fault. Maybe. — “Perhaps it would be better if I never appeared in this world at all?” — he thought to himself. — “Well, of course, because it’s all my fault. Because of me, Robotnik became almost a mad scientist and died, plus his assistant gave his life for mine. Maybe I’m superfluous in this world and I’m only making everything worse?” While he was thinking, the dog Ozzy came up to his attic, who sadly looked at the hedgehog and quietly squealed with regret, as if he perfectly understood his grief. Man's best friend comes closer to the hedgehog and lies down next to him, placing his muzzle on the hedgehog's belly. Sonic responded by running his hand over the pet's head. — “Why is it always like this with me? Whatever I take on, everything always falls out of my hands and everything always goes wrong. How I would like everyone to forget about me, as if I was never here, so that the Wakowskis could live in peace and also would not suffer from the fact that they are under the supervision and wiretapping of the military, like guinea pigs through my fault.” While he was thinking about this, he himself did not notice how he immediately fell asleep. That night, he dreamed of an event from the past, where Tom and Maddie then helped him find his rings on the roof of a building in San Francisco. However, this time things went a little differently. Sonic, despite the intervention of one of the egg-like droids, was able to open a portal to the mushroom planet, said goodbye to his friends and jumped through the portal there, after which the portal closed. However, once on the planet of mushrooms, he at first thought that he was alone, but then suddenly Robotnik himself appeared behind him. Only in the black robe, which he had been wearing before, there was hair on his head, and his mustache was even smaller then, as it was then. He, grinning without outside help and without protection, looked at the hedgehog and said: — Did you really think you could escape your past? Sonic opened his mouth in surprise and bulged his eyes, as if he was really afraid of him and didn’t know what to do at that moment. He had only taken a couple of steps back from Robotnik when Stone himself appeared behind him and continued: — You can't escape the past, Sonic! You can't fool fate. — We will never leave you alone that easily. — Sonic heard immediately from Bennington’s left side, who was also looking at him, grinning. Sonic himself didn’t understand how they ended up on the same planet with him? — Wherever you go, no matter how long and no matter where you hide, we will find you everywhere. You can't escape from us that easily. The hedgehog already wanted to prove it back and run to his right side, but out of nowhere, as if at the snap of a finger or according to the canon of genres with the fact that the character is not heard or seen until he gets into the camera, echidnas appear. And no, it's not Knuckles. Ordinary tribes of echidnas. The same ones who attacked him when he was still a child and because of whom he lost Long Claw. Sonic immediately realized that he had nowhere to run, because every enemy surrounded him around him, and the echidnas even prepared a fishing net. — You shouldn’t have come to us on Earth! — the major added and takes out a pistol, with which he aims directly at Sonic and shoots him in the head. The hedgehog doesn't have time to figure out how to dodge and the bullet just reaches his forehead, when suddenly... Sonic jumps up sharply and screams heart-rendingly. Tails woke up from hearing Sonic's scream and loud breathing. Turning his gaze to the hedgehog, the fox asks: — Sonic, what are you? Even Ozzy, who was lying next to him, woke up and fearfully looked at Sonic. The hedgehog took a breath and fell back onto his bed. — This major is impudent. Even in my sleep it doesn’t leave me alone. Tails was shocked by what he heard. He, of course, understood the seriousness of the intentions of the major and the military, who promised to keep an eye on them and not leave them alone, but to pester them in their sleep?...
