The theme of the chapter is the vampires in this title. Thanks to them, with each new chapter more and more theories and assumptions appear. Let’s sort out everything we’ve learned a little about the vampires of this arc. Their leader is Bram, who is controlled by Fukuchi, who has decided to take over the world with the help of a vampire virus. Vampires have a mind of their own: remember the first vampire we were shown. It was a middle-aged man, he was at the airport. His eyes were not like those of other converts, they were the most ordinary human eyes. As previous chapters have shown, Akutagawa seems to have begun to awaken. On Fukuchi’s orders, he went to look for Bram’s kidnapper, attacked him and Aya, and even wounded her. But, as it turned out, Aku somehow disobeyed the order and left her alive. Then during a one-sided battle with Atsushi, where the former did not even attack the latter. Finding himself captured, our Atsushi began to talk about the strength that Dazai wanted to see in his former student, after which Akutagawa himself spoke for a short moment. Now, we move on to our Chuya and the long-suffering 109th chapter. Chuya, having become a vampire and Dostoevsky’s accomplice, came to save him. Dazai stopped time and made Dostoevsky and Chuuya drown. When Dazai decided to “say goodbye” to him, Chuuya’s eyes were shown to be normal. At the moment of meeting face to face, Dazai, with his typical jokes, begins to “piss Chuuya off”, which turns out to be successful. Chuuya, angry as usual, was about to hit him, but was stopped by Dostoevsky. What interested me about the frame showing Dazai’s “death” was this. Chuuya looked at Dazai’s corpse with a strange look. This made me wonder: what if he, too, began to come to his senses? After all, no matter how much Chuuya repeats that he wants Dazai to die, he always worries about him. This is shown well during the battle against Lovecraft. Seeing his former partner’s wounds, his face made it clear that he cared. Plus, Chuuya is a gifted person artificially bred in a scientific laboratory, and there is a certain deity in him. His vampire essence and the Arahabaki are probably fighting each other for the right to be in Chuya. Who will be stronger, will Chuuya and Akutagawa awaken? Only time will tell.
