The sharp earth clogged into the joints of the transformation, creating palpable discomfort and making it difficult to get up. The faceplate was unbearably whining, and the manipulators were bent in an unnatural position. But despite all the damage notifications, Starscream didn't feel any pain. He did not immediately understand where he was, the first thing he saw after focusing the optics was a dark and solid ground. The processor was still rebooting slowly, as if someone had reset it to factory settings.
Raising the optics, Starscream noticed Megatron. It's him again, even now he woke up next to him, well, like in the good old days. Grinning at his thoughts, Starscream tried to get up, surprisingly it turned out to be too easy for him. The ventilation went off when they accidentally met eyes. Seeker knew that look, slightly scared, waiting for an explanation and just ordinary support. He remembered, but he didn't want to see him, too much water had flowed away to remember the past. The spark shrank uncomfortably when Megatron's hoarse voice was heard from the side.
— Starscream? — Even now, when he lies almost imprinted in the ground, he remembers him, Starscream.
Suppressing his attempts to answer him, the seeker silently stood on the servos. Hastily brushing his knees off the ground, Starscream tried not to meet his gaze. They were supposed to become strangers to each other and no matter what happened before, now they are nothing to each other. Or Starscream just wanted to think so, he's been confused for a long time.
He felt Megatron come closer to him, still not looking away.
— What happened, Starscream? — And he calls his name again.
Seeker hated it when he called him by his first name, especially so often. From each of his words, the spark ached uncontrollably, I wanted to scream, cry at least something, but not be silent. Slowly raising the gaze of the blue optics, Starscream tried not to succumb to feelings, but with every second they became stronger, forcing him to silently swallow all the insults. A warm, slightly rough hand slowly stroked his cheek lingering on it and lightly stroking it with your thumb. Starscream just didn't know what to feel.
Abruptly turning away, but not removing someone else's hand, without hearing himself, the seeker tries to justify himself, but it turns out badly. Someone else's palm is still slowly moving along his cheek, causing Starscream to blush even more. But even so, Megatron felt that something was wrong, as if there was a huge gap between them that was decades long. There was misunderstanding, disappointment and deception between them, but despite this Megatron still stupidly hoped that there was love somewhere, it couldn't end like this. But they have both changed, where are the guarantees that Starscream still does not pour grease on him. Megatron took another look at his faceplate, at his bright blue optics and slightly trembling lips.
— You've changed, — Megatron exhaled softly, not daring to take his eyes off him. — You've changed.
Upon hearing this, Starscream abruptly tore his hand away from himself, and his optics flashed much brighter.
— Other?! Not your punching bag?! Yes, I won't let you play with me and my feelings anymore, that's enough for me! — Burying his face in his hands, Starscream continued to shout something.
The most annoying thing was that it was true. Megatron didn't want to hear it, didn't want to see Starscream suffer in silence, but there was nothing he could do. He destroyed everything himself, only he was to blame for it. He wanted to tell him so much, he was ready to apologize to him for hours if only he would forgive him, but Megatron knew that it was pointless. Starscream didn't need it anymore, he needed it before. And maybe it was already too late, maybe Starscream wouldn't even hear him, but he didn't want to do nothing, he just couldn't. His processor was again covered with terrible memories, all those moments when he should have apologized to him, but did not do it, all those moments when he made him suffer.
— I'm sorry. — Megatron tried to put everything he feels into these words, but thoughts stuck in his throat, making the vocalizer tremble.
Looking up from look from the ground seeker looked at him. There was hope and disappointment in his optics. Two contradictory concepts. He was disappointed in Megatron, but he did not stop hoping, no matter what, he was waiting for these words. The Seeker only nodded curtly. Seeing this, Megatron again attracts him to himself, slightly approaching his facelet. He wanted to hug him, hold him close and not let go anymore. And even now, when nothing hinders them, he does not do this, for all the time of their separation, he has learned to respect him and his desire. He has learned to feel what he wants, it's hard not to learn it in just a few years of rethinking. But to his surprise, Starscream himself hugs him tightly. He knew that it didn't mean that the seeker forgave him, it meant that he just wanted to hug him. He will have to apologize many more times.
After intermittently ventilating, the seeker slightly tilts his head, pulling closer to Megatron. Covering the cloudy optics, Starscream reaches forward, easily puts his manipulators on Megatron's shoulders. And gently clinging to someone else's cold lips, the seeker hugs him much tighter, kissing him again, harder, more assertively. Megatron doesn't mind, he's been waiting for this for a long time, they've both been waiting for this for a very long time.
