A small town in the middle of the forest – a kind of refuge for magical creatures. Including Jimin. Park is an elf who has lived here for a long time, but is a little different from the others. Due to his appearance, his height is only a little over a meter. Basically, that's all that sets it apart from the rest. He has the same appearance and the same abilities as his friends, but his height is a real problem. More precisely, this was once a problem, but clearly not now. Over all the several hundred years he has lived, Jimin has changed about the same number of different towns and villages. And in each of them he was either despised or mocked. All this forced the blond to move almost every month until he found the place where he had been living for a long time. The small town in the middle of the forest immediately became home and safe for Park. No one laughed, no one said nasty things, and most importantly, he finally had friends. Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok went to meet the blond as soon as they heard about his arrival. And Jimin was struck by the fact that they were not surprised by his features, but on the contrary, they did not even pay attention to it. As the elf found out later, these two are the main couple of this city, which everyone knows and respects here. He considers himself lucky to have friends, because they always support him, help him when needed, and simply make his life brighter. Over time, when Jimin adapted to his new life, life became much easier. He let go of his complexes, felt more confident, and most importantly, fell in love with himself. Now he lives his calm and measured life, though up to one moment, and enjoys it. *** Autumn has recently begun, but the sun still continues to shower the city with its warm rays. The weather is really good, no wind, no rain, just fun. Therefore, Jimin decides to go deep into the forest to pick various herbs and berries for his beloved raven. He found him about a year ago near the river, when he was wounded and could not fly. Park took the raven home and cured him, and the bird, as a sign of gratitude, decided to stay and since then has always helped the blond. Jimin also believes that meeting him was fate, because the raven, like the elf, has white feathers and is just as small. – Aiko, I’m already leaving, – a dissatisfied croak was heard in response, – I’ll be back soon, don’t be mischievous, you need food supplies for the winter, – the bird didn’t answer, but only flew closer, sitting next to Jimin. He bent down to pet his pet and then left the house. The road to the clearing, where the best berries usually grow, was not that far, so Park had to make it within two hours. Tonight he goes to see Yoongi and Hoseok, because they incredibly want to show him their new garden, which they recently completed, and at the same time spend the night together. Yoongi talked about it with such enthusiasm that Jimin simply could not refuse his friend. These two were, in principle, avid gardeners, but the beauty of the flowers they created was always amazing. A small path led to the destination, which is very often used by other residents and Jimin himself. However, now he did not want to use it and decided to take a shortcut along the grove, not far from which the werewolves lived. Jimin was not afraid of them, and they themselves seemed to be friendly, but something inside him constantly pushed him away from communicating with them. A few minutes later the blond was already in the depths of the grove, having decided to look for berries here too. If he remembers well, then somewhere here there are strawberries that Aiko loves very much. He headed a little further, noticing berry bushes in the distance, which seemed to contain strawberries. Coming closer, he began to collect berries in his small basket. Due to the recently begun autumn, the strawberry bushes had not yet had time to shed their leaves and remaining fruits, so this played into the elf’s hands. The atmosphere in the grove was amazing. The sun was still shining brightly, warming, the birds sang their simple songs, which Park listened to with pleasure and enjoyed the process. When the berries were finished and a sufficient number were already in the basket, the blond noticed mint growing next to the bush. Without hesitation, he put his basket on a small stump nearby and knelt down to make it more comfortable. The elf was too carried away by what he was doing that he didn’t even hear someone’s steps. A couple of moments later a guy came out of the bushes, clearly also collecting something here. He looked around, apparently looking for something, and caught sight of the unsuspecting Jimin. The guy, apparently mistaking Park for something else, decided to come closer and kick, unable to think of anything better. It doesn't hurt, of course, but it's very unpleasant. Maybe he's blind? – Shit, – Jimin still doesn’t understand what happened, but he’s already incredibly angry. The blond carefully stands up, shaking off the dirt from his hands and clothes, and turns around. In front of him stands a tall, dark-haired guy with wide eyes, clearly not expecting this, – Why the fuck did you kick me?! – Sorry, I... – the brunette was still shocked and could not put words together. The elf stood in front of him, piercing him with his gaze and expecting an explanation along with an apology, – I was just picking mushrooms here, I saw you and.. – And? If you saw me, why the hell did you kick me? – Park getting angry, looking at the confused guy. He looked cute when his eyes darted in different directions and every now and then he opened his mouth, trying to say something, but immediately stopped. He looked cute, but right now he was infuriating the blond. – Well, I was picking mushrooms, I saw you and.., – brunette pauses, takes a breath, and says very quickly, – I mixed up you with a big toadstool. There is silence for a moment, and only the rustling of leaves can be heard. Park hangs slightly, frowning and digesting the guy’s words, and then can’t stand it, starting to yell at the brunette. – How could you even mixed up me with a mushroom!? Are you blind or stupid?! – Please forgive me, I really got it wrong! – the guy makes excuses, trying to shout down the blond, – I’ve just never seen such small elves before.. – But that doesn’t fucking mean that you can to kick me, – Park exhales irritably and, heading to the stump and taking the basket, is about to leave, – I can let you feed Aiko for this. – Sorry, maybe I can somehow make amends? – the stranger followed Jimin. Park stops, turning around, and looks up at the brunette: – It would be nice, – Jimin folds his arms over his chest and continues, – And what can you offer me? – Well, I live not far from here, in a neighboring town. I could bring something for you and your Aiko, – brunette lowers his eyes guiltily, – I don’t really want to become food for him, whoever he is. – Wait, are you a werewolf? – the guy nods at Jimin’s guess, – Then I'm understand how you managed to mixed up me with a toadstool, – the blond grins and thinks for a minute, – Can you bring me some blueberries? No matter how hard I tried to find it, I couldn’t. – Of course! Anything! – werewolf smiles, revealing charming hare teeth. Is he really turning into a wolf and not some kind of rabbit? - May I know what your name is? I'm Jungkook. – Jimin, – the elf is about to leave, adding finally, – You can bring berries at any time, just ask passers-by where my house is. – Great, wait for me tomorrow! See you! Jungkook waved happily, immediately disappearing into the bushes again. *** Jungkook quickly runs home and, out of breath, runs into the kitchen, where his brother is now. – Jungkook? Why are you so disheveled and joyful at the same time? – You have no idea who I met in the forest, – Jeon sits down on a chair, turning to the elder, – Jin, have you ever seen little elves? – I don’t remember this. – I met him today in the forest, however, I accidentally confused him with a toadstool and kicked him.. – You’re as usual, Jungkook, – Jin tsks, continuing to cut meat for dinner, – I hope you at least apologized? – Certainly! I suggested him to bring something as an apology, so tonight you're coming with me to get blueberries. – Why should I participate in this? I'm not the one who kicks little elves. – Hyung, please, – Jungkook begs, approaching his brother, – You know about berries and flowers, you have to help me choose the best. – I want him to like it, and I also want to get to know him better. – Okay, I’ll help, but you’ll have to. *** Jimin returns home, leaving berries and mint in the kitchen, giving some of them to Aiko. He changes clothes, exchanging dirty for clean ones and goes to his friends. They meet him at the threshold, hugging him in turn and letting him into the house, along the way asking questions about the past day. – How was your day, Jiminie? – Hoseok asks, pouring fruit tea into cups, – How is Aiko? – You won’t believe who I met in the forest today, – Park answers, picking up a cup with a fragrant drink and drinking a little. – Say it, we still have the whole night ahead of us, – Yoongi answers, sitting down next to him on the sofa and turning all his attention to the elf, who began to tell the story.
