Chapter 1

Once, Kurama got bored. After remaining silent for two days, he suddenly announced, "Naruto, I'm getting married." Naruto's mouth dropped open. "Kurama, getting married? And, most importantly, to whom?" "She's the best. And so red. That's it!" Kurama exclaimed. "But who is she?" "Karin!" "Kurama, you haven't been drinking, have you? Remember when we celebrated Sasuke's birthday and drank sake? You had the most to drink!" "Nothing like that! I don't drink!" "Yes, of course! And I kept thinking that you were looking at her... predatorily. Just so you know, when you propose to Karin, we'll need to immobilize Suigetsu. They already have four children." "What, really?" "Kurama, are you interested in anything besides your Rasengans?" Naruto rolled his eyes. "It's not Rasengans; it's Bijuu bombs!" Kurama outraged. "But will she accept my proposal?" "Of course, she will! Suigetsu is so pale blue, and you're so bright, so red, so hot! And you have nine tails! Even Hozuki doesn't have those, not even one of the most swollen ponytails! She'll agree, there's no doubt about it," Naruto assured him, remembering a time when, after drinking sake with Tsunade, half the city was enveloped in red chakra, and miniature red foxes ran around Konoha. How did that happen? Very easily. Naruto swapped with Kurama, and then suddenly the Fifth Hokage appeared near him... with sake. And how Kurama was embarrassed later when Naruto discovered his dream — to start a family and create many, many little foxes! That is the reason why Naruto supported the idea of marrying Karin immediately and without considering a lot — not every day does Kurama decide to wed. All that remains is to persuade Karin, and Suigetsu at the same time, because what if he suddenly drowns them? He is a Hozuki, after all. "So, shall we go?" Naruto asked. "Where?" "How can you ask 'where'? We have to make the proposal!" And with that, they set off. Or rather, they flew, using Shunshin, not caring that it was the middle of the night. After all, love is an important matter! First, they visited Sasuke, who was essential for their plan. Who else could hold Suigetsu back from drowning, if not the brave Uchiha leader? Sasuke was a little bit dissatisfied, but the combined persuasions of Naruto and Kurama worked. A wedding is a delicate affair, requiring a special touch. Next, they stopped briefly to inform Tsunade of the situation. The Fifth Hokage gave her consent with a happy smile. "Another drunkard! This time with Kurama in the main role!" They then proceeded to Karin's house, finding her in the kitchen reading the new bestseller, "Come-Come Paradise: The Version for Sensors." Thankfully, Suigetsu was nowhere in sight, this fact greatly pleased them. "Sasuke-san? Naruto-san?" Karin exclaimed in surprise, adjusting her glasses. Then, Kurama shrank inside Naruto and spread out like a puddle. "Hey, Kurama, what are you doing?" Naruto asked, only to hear Kurama whisper in awe, "Kami, she's so kawaii!" "Yes, this is serious business," Naruto realized and began explaining the situation. "Stop, you fool!" Kurama growled when Naruto started talking about love, insisting, "Let's swap; I have to say it personally!" Kurama, now in control, kneeled before Karin, presenting a scarlet rose made from his own chakra. "Karin, I love you. Marry me!" "I... So... E..." "Kurama, how dare you propose to MY wife?" Suigetsu's furious cry suddenly filled the air, having appeared out of nowhere. Sasuke intervened, materializing his Susanoo and capturing the irate husband in its massive hand. "Don't interfere. Can't you see, the fate of a nine-tailed bachelor is being decided here?" Sasuke advised, taking out a pink handkerchief and wiping away a tear. "Sasuke, you've been watching too much TV!" Suigetsu protested, transforming into water to escape. "So, what's your answer, Karin-chan?" Kurama asked, still holding the red rose. "I..." "Karin, don't answer him!" Suigetsu screamed from within the grasp of Sasuke's Susanoo. "Kurama, you're such a romantic," Naruto said with a hint of sarcasm. "Just grab her and head to the Temple! Before she can respond—what if she says no? The Godaime won't refuse you." "Are you sure?" "Yes, I am sure!" Kurama, taking Naruto's advice, scooped up a stunned Karin and rushed to the Temple. Tsunade was already there, sake bottle in hand. "Do you swear to be together in grief and joy, in sickness and health, in riches and poverty? Do you swear to love and guard each other till the end of your days?" Tsunade asked. "Yes!" Kurama answered immediately. Before Karin could utter a word, the Hokage declared, "I pronounce you husband and wife!" The crowd erupted into joyful claps and whoops; someone showered the newlyweds with sakura petals. Romantic music started playing out of nowhere "Stop everything!" Suigetsu's voice boomed as he emerged from the crowd. "Don't you dare touch my wife!" "You're too late, Hozuki," Kurama stated calmly. "She's my wife now." "Let's fight!" Suigetsu bellowed, reminding Kurama of Natsu from the anime "Fairy Tail." The absurdity of the situation was not lost on him. But then, it was typical of the chaos Uzumaki often wrote about, inspired by Jiraiya-sensei. And he had even materialized Sakura's character, creating the fire dragon slayer. "Kurama, wake up!" Naruto's voice suddenly broke through. Kurama blinked, perplexed, and growled softly. He had asked Naruto countless times not to wake him when he was sleeping. "Hey, Ku, we have a mission, and you're sleeping again, ttebayo!" the thirty-year-old blond Hokage complained. It had been about ten years since Naruto became the Seventh Hokage. "What mission?" Kurama asked lazily, stretching his paw. "It's Boruto's mission. He wanted to go with Sarada, but Sasuke didn't think it was a good idea. What should I do?" "Do what you want," Kurama sniffed dismissively. "I'm not interested in your affairs." Kurama found himself envying his jinchuuriki, who had a wife and children. How he longed for his own little, little foxes... "Maybe I really could get married?" he mused. But not to Karin. She is too nervous, and besides, she is Uzumaki. He had already dealt with Mito and her romantic troubles, then Kushina, and now Naruto. No, he needs a good, pretty, and clever she-fox. Preferably one eligible for marriage and without overbearing husbands like Hozuki. The main thing was to keep Naruto from finding out. Otherwise, he'd be inundated with his advice again.
