“Under Section 111 of the Higher Angels Penal Code, Kim Taehyung is being held criminally liable for failing to perform the duties assigned to him, for making a mistake that cost an important one, and for being careless in the course of his assignment. A Higher angel is exiled to Earth to perform 10 good deeds that will free his soul and himself. After completing all his tasks, he stays on Earth for another week and then returns home. The government of the planet Angels and Demons is not responsible for the actions and behaviors of humans on Earth, nor does it take responsibility for what may happen to Angel, nor does it compensate for losses incurred. Angel is prohibited from: 1. Informing people about our society. 2. Showing the location of the planet. 3. Interfering with a person’s destiny unless it has been given to you as an assignment. 4. Demonstrate your abilities. 5. Fight demons. etc. If the rules are not followed and tasks are not completed, the angel is sent to Hell for one day as a preventative measure. The court’s decision has been made and cannot be revisited. Within four hours, Kim Taehyung is to be sent back to Earth, where he will do whatever it takes to free himself from the very first minute. After the final speech, the judge strikes back the verdict of the law with his gavel and leaves the courtroom, leaving the guilty party under the scrutiny of his friends, family, relatives and just strangers. Most of them squint, condemning him, whispering among themselves, saying that people like Taehyung have no right to be Higher angels, but should lie in the middle of the street and collect garbage that has flown away from the wind. The reason why he refers to Earth is unknown to anyone, except for the people chosen by Taehyung and the government, because any information about the sending of Higher Angels to people should not be distributed, and it should remain strictly confidential, but this does not prevent the rest of the angels from condemning him. Passing by the Lower angel, who was his partner exactly up to this moment, he hears a quiet “sorry” and grins at what he said, as if one word of his will change the situation, and his journey to people will change direction dramatically, and he will find himself at a festive table where he celebrates his uncle’s birthday. The punishment of the higher and lower angels is completely different: because of their low rank, they are sent to a penal colony for a month, where they carry out various orders from the commanders. The higher angels take responsibility for themselves and for their partner, taking over the entire burden of punishment on themselves. Taehyung is escorted to his uncle’s car, where he sits down and angrily slams the doors, which catches the equally angry look of a family person who starts the car and starts driving slowly towards home. He exhales loudly, turning to the window, and peers into the rapidly changing picture before his eyes. The ankle is terribly itchy due to the bracelet that blocks his strength causing terrible discomfort. The thought of being on Earth for an undetermined amount of time within four hours is frightening, and he doesn’t want to accept it as reality. He rarely goes to this place and then for a short period of time and only to protect his man from what could cost him his life. And also just visits to make sure that everything is fine with him and he did not invent problems for himself. “I’m sorry, Uncle, I ruined your party,” Taehyung says quietly, turning to his uncle, who keeps his eyes on the road. “I wanted you to be happy on this day, after all, it’s your anniversary. I only bring trouble, don’t I?” Kim smiles through the lump in her throat, not knowing how to express her sympathy. “I’m not angry, Taehyung. I’m a mixture of worry, sadness, uncertainty, not knowing, not accepting. Okay, well, a little more anger, but not at you, at the situation. I’m just worried about you.” “Everything will be fine, I promise. Just don’t worry, you have a blood pressure problem,” Kim rested her hand on her favorite uncle’s shoulder. “Don’t forget to take your pills, okay?” He nods his head and smiles weakly, and parks near the house, and for the first time Taehyung does not want to return, because he does not know when he will return back. After the death of his parents, this house took a separate place in his heart, in his head, in his soul. He is 24 years old, but he still remembers the moment of realization at the age of 13 that this house should become his favorite, because the old house, which contained all the warmth and love, passed to other people for whom this house means nothing. They get out of the car, locking it up, and head into the house under the watchful gaze of the watchers who followed them all the way. Angel goes up to the second floor and walks to his room, which smacks of comfort and tranquility. He has been standing and looking at his room since five minutes as if seeing it for the first time, as if the story is just beginning, but the premonition that this is just the beginning of a whole other story never leaves him. “Be careful, Taehyung. You don’t know what people are capable of, and what can take you by surprise. Life is full of surprises, so you need to be extremely careful,” uncle enters the angel’s room, putting a bag for things on the bed. “You make it sound like there is something deadly waiting for me that will prevent me from returning to this planet and moving on with my life. I’m just gonna do these ten things and come home, you hear me? And life will be a fairy tale.” “I understand you, but I can’t accept you. I won’t be able to sleep peacefully knowing that you are hanging around in the place where your parents were killed,” having managed to quickly realize what was said, uncle covers his mouth with his hand, at the same time looking at the pale Taehyung, who stopped packing. “Say it again.” “Taehyung, honey…” “Are you saying that my parents died in a different way, and you kept the whole truth about them from their own child?” Kim begins to boil, feeling the injustice and resentment of keeping silent about some of the most important people to him, who, as it turns out, did not die because they were overcome by illness. “Your parents… They too traveled to earth for the same purpose as you. Your mom, as you know, was a lower angel, and your dad was a higher one. They were partners, and as it happened, they failed in their assignment, and the court sent them back to Earth. And on their sixth mission, they came across a group of drunken men who had done their time and had recently gotten out. They got caught in a hot hand and had to endure shots that were meant for ordinary people. You asked me back then why they were buried with honors. And I couldn’t answer.” Taehyung was snapped out of his immersion in his memories by a persistent tap on the shoulder, which stopped only when he nodded his head to indicate that he had regained consciousness and was ready to move to Earth. He picked up his bag of necessities and walked behind the commander, who pointed him to a chair in some sort of dome. He would have liked to say goodbye to his uncle again, but he was limited to one goodbye at home, which made his mood even worse. Taehyung sat back in his chair and clutched the bag to him, grasping it as if it were his only salvation. But no one would save him, that much was clear. He intends to get things done as quickly as possible and go back to his normal life, where he will occasionally watch people and rescue them and save them, doing his job well, and then get up at six in the morning and go out for a run, and come back and make oatmeal and look for thrillers for the evening, and go on dates with the prospect that there will be more to come. But now a different story awaits him. The door has been closed, leaving all hope behind it, but he tries not to get discouraged, he needs to at least show that he’s serious and willing to take responsibility for the mistake he and his partner made. Kim Taehyung doesn’t give up easily, he wasn’t raised that way, he has a core that many people don’t possess. The dome plunges into darkness, taking away his ability to see anything, and a couple seconds later he is unpleasantly blinded by a white light that came from no idea where. “Hey, can you hear me?” He was shaken lightly by the shoulder again, but he only tries to focus his blurred gaze, rubbing his eyes with his palms. “Aw, fuck,” Taehyung shouted as his cheek took a blow, returning him to full focus and bringing him back to consciousness. “You spared no effort.” “At least you’ve stopped those futile attempts to get your eyesight back. It would have normalized anyway, but it’s more interesting this way,” the girl said, standing next to Kim, waiting for him to get up. “My name is Linda, by the way. You should remember my name, because I’ll be sending you back, and if you don’t know it, you’ll be living here with us.” “Wonderful conditions, Linda.” “Thank you,” she chuckled sweetly as she closed the doors behind Taehyung, who had exited the dome. “I can’t figure out what you are, and it’s disturbing. Angel or Demon?” — Kim asked suspiciously, looking straight at Linda, still not understanding what kind of creature she was. “I’m neither. I’m a human being, sweetie.” “Is that possible?” Taehyung asks with genuine surprise, because this is the first time in his experience that he’s seen a man who knows angels and demons and works with them. “No, you’re on drugs right now.” “Yeah, I admit it,” Taehyung answers her with the same sarcasm, and then smiles slightly at the red-haired girl, who answers him with an equally sweet smile. “So how is that possible?” “It doesn’t matter, angel, now go. By the way, for the record, sex with demons is as hot as Hell itself.” “That’s vital information, thank you, Linda.” She shows him the way out, says goodbye, wishing him luck, and hides inside the dome after Taehyun exits the building where the dome itself is located. She first reports to the planet’s government that the angel has successfully arrived on Earth and where Kim himself resides, and then hides in her hideout. A light drizzling rain happily greets Taehyung, whom he adores with all his heart and soul. Walking, resting, sleeping, working with the presence of rain pleases, giving excessive pleasure. The very atmosphere of rainy weather pleases, when everyone runs home to avoid being hit by a downpour, when the sun is replaced by dark clouds and the world is plunged into a slight blackout, when you drink hot, very hot coffee, wrapped in a warm blanket, looking out the window, and enjoy the moment, and then comes a slight drowsiness, offers to lie down in a cold blanket that is waiting for you to warm it up. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the nearest adequate hotel, so Kim walks slowly, looking at people who also sometimes pay attention to him, especially paying attention to his white pale skin. Kim is really beautiful, and let it sound corny, but you can draw pictures from him. One of his smiles makes you fall in love, what can we say about the angelic beauty of the face and body: well-groomed blonde hair, clean skin, chaotic arrangement of moles, plump lips and eyes, a small nose and a neat face shape. He attracted people’s attention from birth, although sometimes it was uncomfortable. Taehyung, in addition to excellent external data, has his own special energy, his confidence and, in his opinion, a wonderful character. The last time he was on Earth was six months ago, when his man decided to commit suicide, but thanks to Taehyung’s intelligence and ingenuity, the man remained alive after listening to and passing through the words of an angel. People have their own characteristics, although they do not always have a positive connotation. The life of a human being is different from the life of an angel, and sometimes Taehyung felt envious of people and the opportunities that are provided to them. But instead of accepting new things into life, they prefer to hide from everything, driving away the opportunity to improve their pastime on their planet. Reaching the hotel, Taehyung took a last breath into his lungs, and went inside. He is immediately met by a guy at the reception, who, seeing Kim, quickly put the phone away and stood up to greet him. “Good afternoon! What can I do for you?” The hostess muttered enthusiastically. “Hello, is it possible to get a room for one?” “Yes, of course, for what period of time, angel? The guy whispered the last words, looking Taehyung straight in the eyes. “How do you know I’m an angel?” Taehyung asks with disbelief, moving away slowly from the reception desk. “Ah, well, you’re just as cute, handsome, your appearance is like an angel. If you didn’t understand, then it’s something like a pick-up,” the guy awkwardly scratches his head, trying not to look at Taehyung because of a misunderstanding. “Holy shit. I shit my pants in fear.” “What, again?” “No, no, nothing. I can’t tell you exactly how long I’ll be staying, because I don’t know,” Taehyung muttered quickly, and cursed the situation in his head. The guy asked for all the necessary paperwork to be filled out and then asked for payment for the next week, warning Taehyung that he would have to pay for the room every week. Angel thanked the guy at the front desk, took the key, and went up to his room, jumping right into the big, soft bed that looked like it was meant for him. At home, his bed is not as plush because soft mattresses are contraindicated for him, but it’s all about maintaining good posture and back health. Taehyung, maybe, would have come to Earth as a tourist, but his soul does not lie here for a long life and does not bring much comfort. He has already resigned himself and got used to the pace on his planet and is not eager to break this pace, radically changing his entire routine. Usually you stick to what surrounds you for a long time. And for those who do not like concrete changes and are not ready to start something new, it is difficult to let something unknown into their lives. The phone begins to vibrate inside the pocket, forcing its owner to take a sitting position and take out a mobile phone from his pocket: “I’m listening to you, Archangel.” “I am glad that you have arrived on Earth in one piece. Let’s get to the main thing: every day you will be sent the data of people who need help and their location. You’ll figure out what you need to do. For each completed task, a white star will appear along your spine. And yes, don’t worry, they’re small. Something in the form of tattoos, but upon arrival you can take them off and put them away. Also, your supervisor for the duration of your stay on Earth is Linda. All questions to her. Goodbye, Taehyung, and good luck to you.” The interlocutor throws off, not giving him the opportunity to respond to his speech, causing dissatisfaction. Immediately, Kim receives a message on the phone, which has not yet been turned off, and he already knows what awaits him there. He will accept this assignment, and a new chapter will begin in his life, which at best should not even have begun. He does not know what awaits him, and this makes it even worse, even scarier. Data: Name: Kim Jungwoo Age: 70 years old Feelings at the moment: sadness, desire to give up, fatigue Location: Cafe “******” Taehyung hurriedly leaves the room and heads for the exit. As he walks towards the hotel, a cafe catches his eye. He’s glad it’s so close to him, so after about seven minutes, he’s inside the cafe and looking for the right person. There are about five elderly people here, and each of them may turn out to be Jungwoo. And this problem needs to be solved as soon as possible, because he doesn’t know what and what actions are hidden under “wanting to give up”. It could be either hysteria, intoxication or suicide. Taehyung takes a seat and tries to look around less suspiciously at everyone sitting there. But looking at everyone in this café for twenty minutes is getting unnerving. He even wanted to go to the bathroom. Getting up from his seat, he heads toward the restroom, past the cash registers, squeezing between tables and people. And then a slight tingling sensation starts in the solar plexus area. Angel, who took it as a sign, immediately starts looking for his man, this time gazing intently at everyone without worrying that it might be unpleasant. He turns toward the cash registers and sees a grandfather of very small stature, carelessly dressed and unbrushed, who pours out his coins on the table and picks them over, holding up the line. “I’m sorry, Grandpa, but you’re short of money, so kindly leave the premises and don’t hold up the rest of us,” says the cashier, clearly unhappy with the whole situation. “Wait, maybe there is more in his pockets.” but he does not have time to get anything, because the manager takes him under the elbow and leads him to the exit, and the grandfather calmly walks next to him, only lowering his head down. “Stop,” Taehyung blocked their way out, catching the manager’s confused look."Give him a chance to find the money and pay you back. He’s a customer like any other. You have no right to treat people like that.” “He won’t pay anyway, and we’ll only lose money and time,” the manager tries to push Taehyung away with his hand, to which he only shoves him away and grabs the elbow of his grandfather, who has been watching silently all this time, leading him to the cash register. “What did he want to buy in your cafe?” “Two coffees and two cookies,” the girl standing opposite stammered. “I’ll pay,” Taehyung says, pulling a bank card from under the phone case. After paying for the coffee and cookies, Taehyung left the café, followed by the grandfather, who hid his palms in the sleeves of his light sweater, feeling awkward. Angel gives him everything, and hearing his gratitude in return, is about to leave, but he is once again called by the old man. “Thank you again, young man. I can see that you have a good heart. You are beautiful not only outwardly, but also inwardly. There are few people like you nowadays who are willing to help and are not ashamed to do so.” “It’s okay. If it makes you happy, it automatically makes me happy.” “Oh, sweetheart, this is the first time this has lifted my spirits in a long time. I can finally have coffee with my wife, not complaining about something, but happily telling stories.” “Let me help you carry the coffee to your wife in case you stumble somewhere.” “Child, it’s too far to the cemetery, I don’t want to bother you. Goodbye,” and Taehyung felt his heart ache inside from what he had heard. For a second he felt the pain of losing his wife, the one for whom the coffee and cookies were meant. Kim walks back home, sometimes wincing from the burning sensation in the spine area, which means the appearance of a white star as a sign of a completed task. Are all things going to be so easy? If so, it means that Taehyung will be coming home soon.
