Notes:
Here is the first chapter. I will publish chapters once a week
Night is the most wonderful time. It is especially interesting to walk at night, especially when you know that you can’t, because during this time you can learn a lot of interesting things.
It is because it is so beautiful at night or for some other reason, but a black-haired young man under an invisibility cloak is walking along one of the corridors. Harry moves noiselessly forward, towards the turn in the direction of the stairs. Now everyone should be asleep, but suddenly voices are heard from around the corner, and not teachers who patrol the castle, but some other, such acquaintances. The Gryffindor decides to eavesdrop.
— Professor, I don’t understand how much longer we have to put up with him? He’s already got me, he’s always getting into something, and I have to get him, — complains a female voice, a painfully familiar female voice… That’s right, it’s Hermione’s voice! The only question is, who recorded it?
— Miss Granger, calm down, you won’t have to suffer for long. In a couple of weeks, Potter will see a vision from Voldemort and together with you, yes, Mr. Weasley, with you, he will go to the Ministry of Magic, — the respected director replies to Ronald’s distorted expression. — You have to make sure he gets there.
— Professor, why is this trip so important for us? Ron’s voice finally sounds.
— The answer, Mr. Weasley, is very simple. Our villain will have to appear there. And they will have to fight.
— I have one more question. How much will we get for this sortie? — Hermione asks. — The usual amount you give us is no longer satisfactory to me, five hundred galleons for a trip to the ministry is not enough.
— Okay, how much do you want?
— Seven hundred apiece, — Ron insists.
— OK, you will get the money after completing the mission.
Harry stands in shock, tears welling up in his eyes. Was it all a lie? His friends are against him, and is the director really evil? During the reasoning, Harry stopped holding the mantle, and it fell.
— Didn’t you expect betrayal, Potty? — another painfully familiar voice is heard behind him. — And I thought, when will you find out about this? So you found out.
— What do you want from me, Malfoy?!
— I’m shocked, but we need to talk. Let’s go to the Rescue Room.
They didn’t walk long to the Rescue Room, but in silence — none of the guys wanted to break the silence. When they reached it, it took the form of a spacious living room with a fireplace, armchairs and tables. It was made in red and green tones. In general, everything was very beautiful.
The guys sit on the chairs: they stand opposite — one green, the other red. For five minutes they sit and just devour each other with their eyes. Harry breaks down first and shouts:
— So what did you want to talk to me about?! Did I understand correctly that you knew about the betrayal of my friends, although I don’t think I can continue to contact them? What were you doing in the hallway at night anyway? I’ve never seen you in the corridors at such a time! And one more question…
— Stop raising your voice at me and demanding answers to questions! I’ll answer them later if I don’t forget. Let’s start our fascinating conversation. I’ve found out something so that you can understand it better, although I’m not sure that it will help you in any way. This means the following: on Sunday, instead of Hogsmeade, you will go to the bank with me and my father. It’s useless to explain anything else now, you won’t understand or you won’t listen anyway. Do you agree? — Harry sits as if shocked, but nods. — OK, I will send a time and a meeting place for departure with your owl. My owl will arouse a lot of suspicion, -Draco sums up under Harry’s shocked gaze. — And now I will answer your questions. The second question, I have already answered the first: I did not know — I guessed about the betrayal, I saw their looks and heard their conversations when you were not around. What I was doing at night in the hallway, ha, the answer is simple — I was looking for you, you wouldn’t have come with me during the day. Well, you’ve never seen me at night, because at this time all normal people are sleeping, not walking. Have I satisfied your curiosity? I hope so, and now I’m going to bed. Goodbye.
— Bye, — Harry is still in shock.
The Gryffindor leaves the room in prostration, throws the robe back over his head and heads to the bedroom. Harry thinks that after this conversation he will not be able to sleep for a long time, but he does not guess and falls asleep as soon as his head touches the pillow.
