Too tired to hear the news.

His heart flutters at the touch of his growing belly. A myriad of emotions were going through his mind right now. He feels ecstatic and yet extremely nervous. He knew Hana will be very surprised when she hear the news from him, especially if he suddenly breaks it to his wife the moment she return home from work. He has to figure out how to tell her, but there was only one thing he knew for certain. Ernie will be a doting and caring father to child. As Hana return home from a long day at work, Ernie is nervously pacing around the living room. When he heard his alpha opening the door, his eyes widen in fear. It felt like his heart suddenly dropped to the bottom of his stomach, and he had to force himself not to faint by taking long, deep breaths. Eventually, he steadies his breathing and forces a smile on his face. He walks towards alpha, his face red from embarrassment before speaking. His voice is full of emotion, it's taking all his courage to say this. — "Honey..." Hana returns home and sees her husband, how he is nervous and impatiently pacing around the room, when omega did notice and turned to her, she looked at him carefully. — "Did something happen?" Ernie's face blush a bright red as he tries hard to speak. His breathing quickens and his face twists with hesitation. He opens his mouth to say something before stopping right in the middle. He sighs before he finally speaks. — "Yes, honey... I've something I want to tell you." — His words are filled with emotion, and he had to force himself to not sound nervous. This moment was probably the most important one yet, especially since the moment he reveals his secret to his wife, everything will change from here on. Hana looks at her husband wearily, she worked until 10 pm today and returned tired from work, she wanted to go to bed and forget about the problems, but Hana understood that Ernie wanted to say something important to her, so she decided to listen to him before how to go to sleep. — "Okay, talk." A nervous wave of sweat forms on his forehead at Hana's words. His palms begin to sweat, and his heart is beating so fast that it felt like it was about to burst out of his chest. He takes a couple of deep breaths before slowly beginning to speak. — "Hana..." — Ernie is fidgeting with his hands as he struggles to say what is in his heart. His words come out slower than usual, as if it's taking him a lot to say what was on his mind. — "I've..." — He stops speaking, taking another deep breath to calm himself. Hana frowns a little, starting to get annoyed that her husband can't collect his thoughts and is stalling instead of saying something quickly and letting her go to the bedroom and sleep after the hard work. — "Let's talk faster." Hana's words hurt Ernie a little, but he understands her exhaustion. Without any further hesitation and much to her surprise, Ernie quickly says his words. His voice is full of emotion, his face is bright red, and his eyes begin to glow. It's as if the whole world around him stopped for this brief moment. — "I'm pregnant!" — Once he said the words, Ernie's whole body quivers with excitement. He smiles wide and puts his hands on his belly. His eyes are filled with joy as he looks forward to alpha reaction. Hana looks at her husband indifferently, she just wanted to go to bed quickly and not analyze what he said, so she calmly said. — "Okay." Hana's seemingly indifferent reaction took Ernie by surprise. He looked at alpha for a while, not knowing what to say. This reaction was so... discouraging. It wasn't at all what he expected. He thought she would be excited and happy, but instead his wife answered so casually. Omega looks at her, his smile fading as he raises an eyebrow. —"What?! "Okay" is that all you want to say? "Okay"?! Seriously?" A single tear forms on his eye, and he tries hard not to cry. But no matter how hard he tries, another tear escapes and flows down his cheek. — "That's... It?" — Ernie's voice trembles slightly as the tears continue to tumble down his face. — "Just "okay"?" — Ernie stares at his alpha in disbelief, unsure of what other words to say, unable to believe the reality of this situation. Hana looks at her omega in surprise, she would like to go to bed already, but now she has to deal with the fact that her husband is such a crybaby. Alpha looks at him in disbelief, but comes closer and hugs him, gently stroking his back. — "Why are you crying?" The moment Hana hug him, a wave of comfort washes over his entire body. He feels so safe and secure in your embrace. After a couple of moments, he leans towards alpha and hugs back, his voice trembling as he speaks. — "Y-you don't even care..." — Ernie looks away from his wife, his eyes wet with tears. — "You acted so indifferent when I told you... How I've always wanted to start a happy and loving family with you..." Hana tries to comfort her husband, strokes his hair — "Calm down, everything is fine, don't cry." The moment her hands caress his hair, omega smiles warmly and wipes his eyes. He leans into alpha's hands, his eyes closing at her soft and gentle touch. — "It's just-" — He takes a deep breath and continues. — "I don't know... I suppose I was a bit too excited when I told you... I expected a different reaction from you..." "Let's talk tomorrow morning, I'll have a day off, and you can tell me anything tomorrow, but now I'm tired and I want to sleep, so just calm down and go to bed, okay?" — Alpha strokes her husband's cheek, looking into his eyes. Omega stays in her embrace for a minute longer before sighing. — "Of... of course, my beloved wife." — Ernie smiles before he gives Hana a quick kiss on the lips before going to bed. He's still feeling conflicted about her earlier reaction, but he hopes that the both of you will be able to sort it all out tomorrow.   ---   In the next morning omega stares at his wife lying peacefully on the bed, Hana's body twitching slightly with each of her soft snores. Omega finds it so adorable, and he leans over to give woman a kiss on the forehead. He stays this way for a moment, smiling as he looks at her before suddenly remembering what happened last night. The thought of her reaction makes his mind wander and his smile to disappear. Ernie sighs and sits back up, glancing at the clock on the wall. — "It's still early..." — He shakes his head before staring back at his wife again. Before he knows it, Hana is waking up. Ernie quickly hides his hands under his lap, feeling embarrassed and nervous about his actions earlier. His cheeks go red the moment she opens her eyes, and he looks down at the bed quickly. — "Good morning, darling..." — He says in a somewhat embarrassed tone, trying hard to not sound awkward. Hana sleepily rubs her eyes and looks at her husband — "Good morning." — Woman begins to gradually remember that there was some important conversation yesterday that she forgot about, and decides to ask. — "Did something happen yesterday?" The moment alpha ask the question, he freezes for a moment. His heart begins racing and his face goes bright red from embarrassment. His hands are still hiding under his lap. — "I-I..." — He takes a deep breath before forcing out the words in a shaky voice. — "I'm pregnant." — He avoids looking at his wife as he says the words. His face is red as he holds in his emotions. He feels like his heart is pounding so hard that it won't be too long until his heart explodes in his chest. Hana sighs in surprise before speaking — "You... How long?" — There was a swarm of thoughts in her head, she just woke up, and already heard such important news that turns her life upside down until she could fully comprehend what her husband said to her. Man hesitates for a couple of moments. Her response made him feel like he's about to have a panic attack, his heartbeat quickening and tears forming on his eyes. He doesn't want to keep the secret from Hana for any longer. — "I-I'm two months pregnant, h-honey..." — As he was talking, omega couldn't face you as his voice starts trembling again. He didn't wanna look at her face, afraid that he won't be able to see love and affection on your eyes. Hana looks at how nervous her husband is and says in a gentle voice. — "Come to me." — She spreads her arms for a hug. — "Come here, crybaby." Hearing alpha's words gives him a sense of calmness as he stands up and walks towards her extended arms. Without any more hesitation, he hugs Hana tightly, burying his face in her chest. His eyes water as he lets out the emotion that he has kept for so long. At first, he can't say a word due to how heavy his emotions are. After trying hard, he finally speaks. — "It's just-" — His voice quivers slightly as it comes out. — "I'm just so excited..." He smiles up at alpha, his spirits rising again after hearing her words. As Hana caress his hair, it feels like a soothing and calming warmth that radiates from her hands. — "You're right, my love." — He sighs, relieved that your reaction was as loving and warm as you usually are. — "Our child will have loving and caring parents and loving grandparents!" — Omega chuckles warmly. — "I will be a doting and caring father, and I hope you will be an amazing mother to him or her." Hana strokes her husband's small but slightly rounded belly — "I'm sorry that I reacted indifferently yesterday, I was tired then and did not understand how important and wonderful news you told me." The moment he feels his wife's hands caress his belly, his heart skips a beat. His whole body trembles slightly with excitement, his eyes light up slightly. Hana's words make all his worries disappear, and a small wave of love and tenderness overwhelms him. Omega smiles broadly as he looks back at her. Ernie can't remember the last time he felt so happy. — "Don't apologize for anything, my love." — He laughs. — "I'm just so happy that you're excited about it too." Woman smirks and kisses her husband on the neck, stroking his belly. — "I want to see you big and round as soon as possible, so that you waddle because of your baby bump." — Hana really wanted to see her husband pregnant and it was surprising to her that she missed such an important news yesterday due to fatigue, she wants to catch up and show how happy she is because of her husband's pregnancy. Omega shivers at her sudden kiss on his neck, feeling his body shudder in delight from the surprise. Hana's hands caressing his belly feel so nice and warm that he can't help but start to blush again. He closes his eyes and lets out a small chuckle, his voice sounding happy and excited as he responds. — "Just for you, my dear. I'll start getting bigger and bigger until I can hardly get up off the bed." — As he says the words, his eyes open again to face Hana's direction, his eyes filled with affection towards her. Hana smiles and says while rubbing Ernie's belly — "You will be the most beautiful pregnant daddy with a big round heavy belly that will press you to the couch and will not even let you move without my help, I will take care of you all the time." Ernie is blushing so intensely that he's almost as red as a ripe tomato. His eyes are filled with joy as he chuckles with excitement, the happy tears that filled his eyes finally fall down his cheeks. It felt like this is some sort of fairy tale, a fairy tale where the most beautiful woman in the world takes care of him when he needs it the most. He stares at you with love in his eyes, his lips slightly apart and his eyes shimmering with joy. — "I love you, Hana."
