The door opened abruptly, letting in an angry Uzumaki Yugito. - Naruto, what the hell! - The new Raikage's right-hand man prudently withdrew, leaving the rulers alone. - Why am I not allowed outside the village? - First, learn to knock Yugi-chan, - said Uzumaki calmly. - And secondly, I've already explained it to you. We've just recovered from the biggest war in history. There are a lot of renegades and deserters of all stripes.... - Nothing I can't handle," Jinchuriki Two-Tails said flatly. - And I demand that you let me out of the village! - You can't demand anything from me," Naruto released Ki. Or have you already forgotten? - Two-tailed answered her. Yugito remembered. Remembered how in a split second some masked bastard would have punched her in the chest, but someone had attacked him. Remembered how the blond had fought alongside her against the Immortal Duo, and how she had sat by his bedside in the hospital, hoping he would survive. How she'd offered to let him stay with her until his wounds were fully healed, and how he'd asked her out, blushing shyly. A thirty-year-old woman at the time. Which was right before the war, where he had to kill his best (though only Naruto thought so) friend and lost his closest friend. When Raikage found out about their date, he'd laughed at them both, like a grown cat watching little kittens learn about the world. Seeing such thoughts in Jinchuriki's mind, Biju only laughed. - So you remember. Thanks to you, he's matured and started acting more serious. So, now you'll reap all the benefits of your efforts. - Well, I'm so eager to get to my assignment," Yugi whimpered aloud.
