POV Takashi Komuro
Junior School of the Dead.
Shintoko's third elementary School was full of zombies. This was not encouraging at all, if Mom was inside, then she was unlikely to be alive.
The gate was opened and closed by Uehara-san. He also wanted a superpower like an esper like Kohai! If he had telekinesis, would he be able to save his mother?
"You know, I haven't seen a single survivor yet. Uehara said.
Takashi's mood immediately soured. The very probability of his mother's survival was small. He understood it, everyone presents understood it, and it... it was bitter to understand it.
"But I can see bullet marks in these kids,"Uehara told them.
They shifted their gaze from him to the corpses of the children, which pretty much spoiled Takashi's mood. He had no doubt he would kill zombies of any age or gender, he was tolerant of everyone. If there were bullets here, it increased the probability of his mother's life, but if there were zombies in the school, then not too much.
Silently, he took out his mace, already knowing that the sound of a shot would only attract zombies, and cartridges were not an endless resource. He was not an orc who, if he had more than three rounds of ammunition, then there were a lot of them and they did not run out. In their world, the only humanoid mushrooms were the result of the infection of people with a zombie virus and fungal spores that parasitized humans.
Uehara-san has already habitually knocked down a zombie, this time with a torn lantern, making noise at the same time. They started acting after that. He noticed a faint smile on Uehara-san's face, perhaps he liked to kill zombies. He didn't see anything wrong with that, they were worth killing. Especially if his mom... she was dead.
Having stopped thinking, he attacked a ten-year-old girl with a blow to the skull, hearing a pleasant crunch and smelling an unpleasant smell of blood. So he wouldn't have to finish her off with a second blow. Baseball classes helped him significantly, even after the fall of the sport, along with the rest of the world.
While killing, he constantly looked around to avoid falling into a zombie trap. He saw that the rest of the team was doing well.
Noticing Hisashi that he was killing zombies with Ray, he no longer felt that anger. Even if at times he wanted to kill him, as long as he helped them kill zombies, he was a good partner... to some extent.
He was his friend, along with Ray, even if they betrayed him. He loved her, but she didn't love him. It was worth stopping hating. Only the fact that they were on the same side helped him to restrain his anger.
After clearing the square in front of the school, he saw a bloodied nurse and shuddered. Marikawa-sensei looked like a typical dumb blonde. All the boys at school dreamed of her. More than once they got to her, deliberately scratching their skin until it bled, pretending that they had pain somewhere in their stomach or another place. At that moment, she scared him by trying to cut off the child's head, blood got on her, and there were traces of brains on her saber in addition to blood. She kicked her beautiful and long leg on the floor of the next child, again trying to hit him with a saber on the skull. Although she made an effort, she had to hit a second time, because the first time she squeezed her eyes shut.
Bushijima-senpai was more professional and immediately cut off the head with one blow of a zombie, already going to the next. She was a pleasure to watch and he wanted to be the same as senpai. She was already ahead of him, even though he had started killing earlier.
Uehara-san pierced the zombie's brain through the eye with his Western sword at a time. It spoke to his fencing experience, given that he stood like those swordsmen in the movies, partly sideways to the opponent. His sword pierced his head in one go, showing the power behind his body. Even if he was 15 years old, he didn't want to provoke him. No one bullied a young genius to do their homework for them for one reason, he beat like a truck.
Without looking at the rest of the team anymore, he continued to smash skulls. They didn't get distracted by killing again and again. He breathed greedily, wincing at the smell, but the blood had an unpleasant property of eating into his clothes, and they were completely covered in blood. It was useless to change clothes, there was no point, as they would become dirty again. The zombies were walking towards them, not stopping on their way, stumbling, and getting up. One child had unnaturally positioned legs, cruelly broken in several places, he crawled, without stopping, to them.
Out of the corner of my eye... After looking at his former friends, he was distracted, which is why a zombie reached out to him. He stopped being distracted, focusing on more important things.
After clearing the schoolyard, they saw the open entrance doors to the school, from which zombies were coming out.
"Oh no!" Hisashi groaned.
He was the worst at cleaning up the junior school.
"Hisashi!" Ray took his hand, trying to calm him down.
"We don't have time to stand!" said Takashi and ran towards the zombies.
Takashi was tired like a dog, he needed to rest after so many swings of the mace, but he was haunted by this romantic scene. From worrying about his mother to watching the relationship between Hisashi and Rei up close, he couldn't help but get angry! It hurt like hell!
"Big tits, great job!" He heard it from Uehara-san.
While clearing the second floor, Takashi became warier. Fatigue was beginning to take its toll. While clearing the corridor, they saw a zombie teacher.
"Don't stop, Takashi!" Ray's voice was heard.
"It's Mom..." his weak voice was heard.
"Takashi, we're with you!" Hisashi told him, standing next to him and putting his hand on his shoulder.
Torn between wanting to hit him and thanking him, he saw Bushijima-senpai protecting them. Her eyes were shining, obviously from all the tension, which made even such an exemplary woman as senpai want to cry.
"Mom..." gripping the mace, he said weakly.
The mace fell out of his hands, falling to the floor with a loud thud. Hisashi squeezed his shoulder tighter, which made him want to beat him up! Why is he alive and his mother is dead? Why?! WHY?!!
Hisashi didn't stay by his side for long, going to kill zombies with the others.
He felt so alone... there was no one left with him. He was betrayed by Ray and Hisashi, his mother died, his father divorced his mother and he stood here alone. Tears were streaming down his cheeks, this world was breaking him. I wish he hadn't been born in this cruel world!
Suddenly, he heard Hisashi's scream. Turning his head, he saw his saber stuck in his mother's skull, and his hand was bitten by a zombie student. He noted this with anger and inner joy, hoping that after Hisashi's death, his relationship with Rei would improve.
"Hisashi!" screamed Rei, running towards him.
"Ray-chan, watch out!" Marikawa-sensei shouted.
Rey stepped on a fallen zombie that grabbed her leg and was about to bite. A knife thrown by Uehara-san flew toward the zombie.
"Don't shout, he's already infected and it's useless to worry,"said Bushijima-senpai.
Her eyes glistened with barely suppressed tears, and her lips curled into a crooked smile, trying to cheer her up.
They were not interrupted in killing zombies. Takashi found the strength to pull himself together and raised the mace. There were also zombies.
When they finished killing the zombies, Hisashi looked at them.
"Kill me while I'm still human. Hisashi said weakly, realizing that he would soon go to bite them himself.
"Noooooo!" roared Ray, hugging him tightly.
Without saying a word, Takashi nodded to him. He wanted to break his skull as he did with his mom! Hisashi will answer for everything he took from him!
"Ray, step back. Remember, I love you!" Hisashi told her, pushing Ray away.
Takashi picked up the mace and brought it down on his skull, feeling a splash of drops of blood and brains on himself. He beat without holding back, with all the anger and revenge for Mom and Ray. He felt hopeful now that Ray was no longer with Hisashi!
"Takashi! It's all your fault! If you weren't standing! If it wasn't for your mother's thick skull!"
"Ray..." I heard his confused voice.
It wasn't like that! She had to be with him, comfort him, and then they would become a couple because Hisashi did not interfere with them! He hadn't expected such words from her. They made his heartache. He always thought Ray was a kind girl, but... She can't be her! Ray is not like that! Ray is a kind and sweet girl! She's not that terrible, it's not her! Ray didn't say those words! That's right, she didn't say anything! She is a kind and good girl who has always supported him and now she is just tired. Now she will cry and become the same Ray again. Women always cry and calm down. She didn't say it out of spite. She didn't say anything.
Marikawa-sensei hugged Rei. Ray started crying without stopping, which attracted a few more zombies. They were descending from the third floor, attracted by too much noise.
"There's no time to cry. Bitch, the Cuckold's mother just died, and all you can do is blame him. If you don't want to join his mom and... What was his name? To him. Take the spear in your hands and kill them!" said Uehara-san.
It wasn't the most impressive speech, but it reminded me that zombies were still nearby zombies. Although this speech sounded even rougher than before, Uehara-san always took care of them and saved their lives several times. He was a good man on the inside, though a little callous on the outside. Much better than Ray. They didn't have time to grieve for the dead, Takashi thought somewhat gloatingly.
