Jake thinks Heeseung is just the epitome of every standard that he has for a partner. Heeseung has a nice soul, everyone knows that — it's true that he is a "softie" or a "sweetie" or whatever ENGENE like to call him. He's kind, polite, and caring, never missing a chance to help his fellow members during hard times, and every one of them appreciates that, respecting and cherishing their oldest. Heeseung is also very talented — he is an ace, he is a full-package idol. No matter what he does, be it singing, rapping, or dancing, he does it exceptionally well, almost flawlessly. Jaeyun will never get tired of watching him perform. In addition, Heeseung is smart — they never really participate in activities that showcase their intelligence, but it is true. He solves puzzles and those types of questions pretty easily, be it knowing or guessing the right answer (that doesn't really matter, it's just that Jake likes the proud smile on his hyung's face in the moments like these). And Heeseung is very handsome. Don't judge Jake, but we all are people, and it's just natural that we notice others' appearances first. And, well, Heeseung caught his eye the moment he entered the hall with other trainees on I-LAND. He heard the discussions all around him, about Heeseung's experience and professionalism, and of course about his looks. And he couldn't agree more with how handsome he is. Now, Jake thinks, because he grew up a bit, his facial features and body have become even more mature and handsome, and that is so sexy, he admits. All those photos from photoshoots for another magazine or promotions, or photos taken by fans, and even those little selcas that Heeseung posts on socials make his insides twist. They all are so pretty, he even keeps his favorite ones in his gallery and returns to them from time to time. When they weren't dating, it was sometimes hard for Jake to handle himself near Heeseung — not during performances or photoshoots, but during these little moments when they were alone, maybe in the dance studio or in the dorms, while his hyung was smiling gently at him and talking casually (with a slight glint of mischief in his eyes, Jaeyun started noticing later). Because exactly in these moments Heeseung was the most available than Jake thought he would ever be. He wanted to say and do a lot of things with him in private, and, well, one day he did. It was a fragile moment shared between them, after just dancing around in the studio together, sitting down and looking at each other while intertwining their fingers. Heeseung grinned at Jake's sudden shyness and awkwardness while he confessed the feelings that were accumulating inside of him since day one. Heeseung couldn't help but caress Jaeyun's cheek with his other hand, taking the initiative and getting closer to the younger's face, glancing at his plump lips and tenderly kissing them. The heat spread from Jake's cheeks to his ears and neck, — he never thought he would feel this vulnerable near someone ever, — Heeseung could feel the hotness under his palm. When the kiss ended, Jake's eyes fluttered open, also noticing a faint rosiness on his hyung's cheeks. He was in some kind of euphoria, still not fully believing what happened, until they heard the door open — Jay walked in and instantly stopped after seeing their position. He didn't make a big deal out of it though, only cursing and saying that he owes Jungwon ten thousand won. How did others react to it? To put it simply, neutrally, almost positively. Jay was still sour about the fact that he lost the bet, but he only asked them to not be too clingy and affectionate with each other (as if he doesn't go around hanging over Jungwon all the time himself). Sunghoon has always been an oblivious one in their friend group, hence he was a bit surprised, though he definitely wasn't against them together. Sunoo, on the other hand, as the sunshine that he is, was very happy for them, congratulating and giving a hug to his hyungs (winking at Jake, too, for some reason). Jungwon was probably the least surprised, since he is just naturally observant, but you could also see the genuine joy in his dimpled smile. Ni-ki, well, he didn't really seem to care and just stated that he was right about Heeseung being the dad and Jake being the mom of their little family (Jaeyun still doesn't understand why he got to be the mother, but, alright, anything for a quiet life). Now, when they are officially — not really, since no one besides their members know about it — dating, Jake doesn't restrain himself from occasional impulses to peck Heeseung on the cheek, or nuzzle into his space and cuddle with him. Heeseung never rejects him, letting the younger bask in the warmth of his embrace, cherishing moments like this. But there is also something about Heeseung that Jake likes and hates the most at the same time. His hyung is the definition of an innocent face with a dirty mind. It is quite obvious, isn't it? The way he always teases ENGENE on concerts, lives, or fan signs says a lot, and Jake just happens to be the victim of his inappropriate jokes and behavior in general (well, he is not that innocent himself, so it's bearable, really). Heeseung likes to tease others. And Jake is not talking about joking around with members, but about the other... teasing. Jake isn't particularly busy with anything, laying on his bed in his room, when his beloved hyung texts him. heeseung-hyung </3 [1 photo] ;) Jake knows this means no good, but opens the photo out of pure curiosity, and it turns out to be just a selca. Yeah, just... a selca. Jake knows Heeseung is teasing. He always does that: sends his selcas from the dance studios in t-shirts, collar sweaty and hair damp from practicing choreography, where he looks insanely hot and cute at the same time — something inside Jaeyun's chest always burns at the sight. And it's all about the urge to see him like that in reality, to touch him and feel him and kiss him and... He's just drop-dead gorgeous, Jake can't resist it. He looks at the selca again, then turns his gaze to the pair lying on another bed in the room — Jungwon is fast asleep on Jay's lap, while the other runs his fingers through the younger's hair. He thinks about it for a little bit, but ends up standing up and going towards the exit door of their dorm — Jay only glances over at him, probably too tired from the schedules and too comfortable in his current position. He passes by the living room, where Ni-ki is playing PS and Sunoo is showing Sunghoon something on his phone, cozily cuddled up to one another. He puts on his shoes and a jacket, taking a mask from his pocket, when he receives another text. heeseung-hyung </3 no response? ( Ah, yes, his hyung always needs at least some sort of attention, but Jake is always ready to give it to him. You know, that's just how love and relationship work.

It takes a short walk from their dorm to the company building, the breeze outside cooling him down a bit. When he enters the dance studio, Heeseung seems to be wrapping up the practice, checking everything before leaving. He turns around when he hears the door opening, seeing the person that he waited for. They have just a "bro moment" at first, shaking hands and hugging each other in a very "bro" way (and let's not talk about the way Heeseung's arm is wrapped around Jake's waist because those are just details). Jake moves away a little bit, lowering his mask and smiling at his hyung. It's an irrational feeling, but he missed him, — they had individual schedules today, so they haven't seen each other since this morning, — and seeing Heeseung again, so close, makes him feel a bit happier (call him a sap for that, he will take it). Heeseung has already put his jacket on too, and Jake may be a tiny little bit disappointed because he really wanted to see him just in the white t-shirt, but it's fine, he thinks and places his palm on the older's chest, where the jacket is unzipped — Heeseung only smirks and gives him a knowing look. Jake's face flushes at the proximity between their faces, but he asks Heeseung how was his day, and the tension between them relieves into a light conversation, while Jake leads his hyung outside by his hand. When they come back to the dorms, they sense the smell of delivery food — it seems like Jay isn't in the mood to cook today. Members greet Heeseung and soon they all go to the kitchen to eat dinner, though they end up not only eating but also talking and laughing a lot, and Jake feels at peace. The night is still young, but they are all exhausted and there are still schedules for tomorrow, so they start going to sleep one by one. Heeseung is fresh out of the shower, standing in the middle of his bedroom and drying his hair, when Jake enters, closing the door behind himself and heading towards him. Heeseung opens his arms, welcoming the younger in a warm and loving hug. Jake wraps his arms around his hyung's neck and says that he came just to kiss him goodnight, and, well, he kisses him. The touch of their lips is tender at first, delicate even, and Heeseung strokes Jake's cheek with his thumb — just like the very first time they kissed. But then he starts to want more and more, growing impatient and deepening the kiss to feel the heat of Jaeyun's mouth, drawing a soft whimper out of the younger — Jake feels like his face is burning, and he grabs Heeseung by his bicep, pressing his fingers into the flesh, doing what he has desired for the entire evening. It feels nice, — hot, but nice, — to be this close to Heeseung again, with his arms wrapped around him and his lips on his own. Like this, he can feel the older's breath on his skin and sense his subtle natural scent (and the mint flavor of their toothpaste). Despite how much Jake enjoys the moment, he tries to tone down the intense atmosphere and ends the kiss, looking at his hyung, who attempts to continue the contact. He presses his palm against Heeseung's lips, and he stops, opening his bambi eyes in confusion. Jake giggles and Heeseung adores the way his smile widens. He's kind of sad that they can't keep on making out, so he pouts — unintentionally, but he does. Jaeyun says that his hyung is too cute and pokes him in the cheek, and they both laugh quietly. Jake gives him the last peck in the corner of his smiling lips — the goodnight kiss that he actually meant to give — and wishes him sweet dreams, leaving the bedroom. Heeseung can only watch his back, longing for the moment when he held Jaeyun in his arms. Yeah, Heeseung is the epitome of every standard that Jake has for a partner, and the way that the older one treats him and cherishes him and loves him and makes him feel is also very... special. At the end of the day, his hyung's teasing is also something that he likes about him.
