Chapter 1

Unfortunately, today Peter managed to return home only late in the evening. Nothing special, just some superhero business in another city under the pretext of a school trip. It’s good that this doesn’t happen too often, otherwise he didn’t really want to deceive the teachers and Aunt May.
Speaking of Aunt May. She wrote him a ton of messages and tried to call him a hundred times, trying to ask where her nephew is now.
Peter was lucky that he was able to answer and promised that he would be back in half an hour.
Although, to be honest, he could have gotten home earlier if he hadn’t missed the bus or agreed to help from Tony Stark. Unfortunately, neither of these things worked out, because buses don’t run at that time, and Tony made Peter regret several times that he even asked for help.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t have child seats,” the man said, talking to Peter on the phone, although obviously he was just joking. “However, you can always hide behind the seat. Police officers don’t pay much attention to passengers in the evening”.
“Mr. Stark, the joke about me being a kid is no longer funny,” the guy says, starting to really regret that he decided to ask him for help. Of course, Peter often called his mentor, asking for this or that help to him, and each time he received in response such strange jokes about his age, such as “maybe we’ll buy you juice?” “let me take you to school tomorrow?” “jeez, I don’t have for you any toys.” It would seem, what is the strangeness of these jokes? It was that Peter was beginning to realize that Tony was pretend himself like a… Daddy?
Oh, that’s it cool, Peter would say, if it wasn’t for one of the richest people in the world.
And that’s why Peter goes home, having managed to catch the last taxi for today, while somehow persuading the tired taxi driver to bring at least to his street.
Nothing foreshadowed trouble, it was raining and Peter breathed a sigh of relief for the first time that day. No heroics, studies and stupid jokes of Mr. Stark for today.
The guy rested his cheek against the glass, involuntarily closing his eyes. As soon as he decided to doze off and dream about how he would happily spend his Saturday, when suddenly he was woken up by the voice of the taxi driver.
“Wake up, man. We arrived.”
Peter rubbed his eyes and began rummaging through his briefcase in search of his wallet, sighing with disappointment. What a pity, but he just fell asleep.
“How much I owe to you?” Peter drawled wearily.
“Twenty dollars.” And please move quickly, you’ve already wasted my time.
“Yes, yes, of course, can I have a sec…” his fingers suddenly froze when he couldn’t find the money in his wallet.
“Oh, crap, " he breathed softly. Peter did not want to detain the driver, but his tongue does not turn to say something like “sorry, sir, I think I left the money at home,” and so he rummaged in his pockets in search of a phone.
“Is something wrong?” The man behind the wheel tapped his fingers on the panel, looking annoyed.
Peter’s hands were shaking as he typed a message to his friend.
“Congrats, Ned, you’ve been promoted to the position of Sugar Daddy. Please drop a twenty.
P. S. I’ll pay you back tomorrow.”
After sending the message, Pete could only wait to see if his good friend would leave him in trouble or still come to the rescue.
“You have a new message, sir.
“Put it on the screen,” Tony said without looking up from his work. “Who is it from?”
“From Mr. Parker.”
“Oh, that’s interesting,” the man took off his protective glasses and began to read the message.
At first, he squinted, not understanding whether this message was addressed to him exactly. However, after reading the message asking for help a couple of times, Tony realized that this message was sent by mistake. At first, he decided to ignore it, but then the brilliant idea came to his same brilliant head.
“FRIDAY, transfer him a twenty.”
“You mean twenty dollars?”
“Twenty thousand dollars,” Tony said, sitting down at his desk. “Daddy is kind today.” He grinned inwardly, imagining how Peter would react to this.
“What’s a problem?” the taxi driver seemed to be losing patience. “Dude, are you going to pay your fare today or not?”
“Please give me one more minute,” Peter pleaded. He was ready to sink through the ground with shame.
“Where is Ned, after all!?” the guy thought, staring at one point on the screen.
As soon as he saw the notification about the replenishment of balans on his card, he pulled himself up to the terminal next to the driver with his whole body and, after paying for the fare, jumped out of the taxi like a bullet (and also did not forget to apologize and say thank you).
Peter almost ran to his house, thinking about what a loser he was today.
“At least I was lucky not to get arrested for non-payment of travel,” he thought, stepping over the threshold.
Thank heaven that Aunt May was already asleep, and therefore Peter will be reprimanded tomorrow, and now he is going to bed.
The guy goes to his bed, deciding to write to Ned that he is the best bro in the world and therefore Peter will return him a little more money than he owes.
However, when Peter opened the message, he realized that he had not written much to his friend today.
And then the guy turned pale with fear for the second time all day when he received a message from Tony Stark.
“Of course I’m not Ned, but I like this promotion. Enjoy your pocket money, kid.
You don’t have to return it.
P. S. You changed your mind so quickly for my help, you could have at least called me.”
Peter groaned in despair and threw the phone into the pillow.
God, he felt the sarcasm of the great and unique Tony Stark right through the screen.
How can such different contacts be confused? Now Peter will even be ashamed to look into his eyes, and after all, he will have to leave with him on a common task when the summer holidays come.
But this is definitely another story.
