Imagine you were Isaac Lahey's girlfriend.

You came to watch the lacrosse match and support your boyfriend a little.
Scott, as the team captain, (tried) maintained the fighting spirit of his team. Coach Finstock frowned at this, not forgetting to insert caustic remarks through almost every word of Scott. But he also tried to support the team, however, in his own style.
You stood near the stands and watched them all with a smile on your face.
"We will win," Scott said decisively in the end. The team nodded, some smiled, but some remained frowning and tense. You involuntarily remembered Derek and, quietly chuckling, came a little closer.
"Of course you will win, I don't even doubt it," you smiled too, and then Isaac came up to you.
You kissed Isaac on the cheek before he put on his helmet.
"I believe in you," you said softly, but you had no doubt that he heard you.
Indeed, Isaac smiled, nodded to you and ran to the field.
The coach blew his whistle. The game has begun.
