«Teen Wolf». Peter Hale. A calm day (#104)

Settings
Notes:
Imagine that you were Peter Hale's girlfriend. *** Peter is leaning back on the couch, running his fingers through your hair, idly running them through. You snuggled against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heartbeat and humming softly, closing your eyes.        "At least one calm day," Peter muttered. You snorted, shifted slightly, and opened one eye to look at him.        "Don't jinx it," you mumbled back, knowing full well that after such words, everything usually goes awry. Sure enough, Peter suddenly tensed, taking his hands away and gently shifting you onto the couch. He covered you with a blanket so that you would be both hidden and warm at the same time. You realized that he had heard something. But you didn't hear anything until the front door slammed. You heard Stiles and Malia's voice, which made you pull the blanket closer around you. You looked at Peter, and he shook his head, saying no, he didn't know they were coming either. Peter kissed you on the forehead, which made you close your eyes and smile, and got up from the couch. He adjusted the blanket on you and only managed to take a couple of steps when the door to the room opened. Stiles was standing first, of course, and he was the one who opened the door wide. He rattled off something really fast, and you didn't understand anything of what he was saying. Malia, unlike Stiles, looked around first. When she saw you, she froze for a moment, muttering something about your scents mixing, and then she took Stiles by the shoulders and dragged him with her to the front door. Stiles barely had time to start protesting before they disappeared out the door. Peter came back to you, gently stroking your head while you were still staring at the door, waiting for it to open. Or it might not open.        "They didn't leave, did they?" You asked softly, looking at him. Peter shook his head.        "No, they're waiting in the courtyard," he replied, sighing. "I'm sorry, honey, it's definitely not going to be a calm day." You smiled weakly.        "I told you not to jinx it," you teased softly, kissing him on the cheek. Peter smiled back and ruffled your hair a little.        "Whatever they need, I'll be back soon," he promised, kissing the top of your head. You nodded and settled back, closing your eyes. You really wanted to sleep, and you'd rather do it in Peter's warm arms than on his couch, but alone.        "Be careful and come back safe," you murmured softly. A faint smile touched Peter's lips at your sleepy murmur.        "Good dreams, my love. Let you dream about me," he joked, kissing your temple. He turned off the light in the room and went out the door, closing it behind him. Soon you heard the front door slam, and then you drifted off to sleep.
