The door to the room opened slightly to reveal a half-empty room with curtains closed from the bright sun. It definitely didn’t make sense, because Tanjiro had become the first demon to stand quietly in the sun just a couple of weeks ago. However, the boy himself did not open the curtains, but sat peacefully on the bed, shuffling his legs. It was this picture that appeared to Genya. Tanjiro was now a normal size and his feet barely touched the floor, but he continued to jerk his legs, looking at one point. — Tanjiro, it's me! — Genya smiled as he walked in to the demon. Kamado turned to him with a face full of curiosity before getting up and running over to his caretaker, hugging him. — Oh, I guess you missed me! Shinazugawa patted Tanjiro's head, as he likes. He smiled at the tall man, then pulled away and beckoned to sit on his bed. Genya didn't mind, he was happy to spend time with the brother of the girl he began to respect. At the final selection, Nezuko broke his arm while standing up for Kanata Ubuyashiki, who was conducting the selection. They were about to fight with their fists when they were stopped by her brother - Kiria - who calmly stood between them. Although Genya had enmity towards Nezuko in her heart after this, she was later able to gain friendship from him by allowing him to cut off Hantengu's head and showed her pure intentions with her eyes. And now, out of gratitude to her, he was sitting with her older brother, who was insanely tactful to Genya. Shinobu noticed this, so she suggested that he keep an eye on Tanjiro. Over the past couple of weeks, they have managed to get very close, with Genya sitting with Tanjiro longer than he should be. Although the demon had difficulty speaking, this did not stop the hunter from smiling, playing with him, taking a break from the routine and seeing his friend once again. — Huh? — Genya sat down on the bed, and Tanjiro stood next to him with a serious look on his face, looking at him emotionlessly, which made the guy feel uneasy. — What happened? — Hap-pened... — repeating after the guy, the demon said, and then went to the corner of the room, where there was a space next to the bed: there was a chest of drawers. Kamado was about to pick up something when he suddenly turned to Genya and pointed to his eyes. — What do you want? — Shinazugawa understood what he was asking, but he was curious about what the demon would do. And he did. Tanjiro straightened up before walking right up to Genya, leaving a distance of about four inches between them. Kamado stood up straight and looked down at Shinazugawa, who swallowed nervously. — Ha-nds. — the demon said, taking Genya's hands in his hands. — Ey-es. — after that, he gently covered the guy's eyes with his hands. — Haha. I wonder what you did there. — Genya trembled a little with excitement. A couple of steps were heard from Kamado, a short pause and the footsteps began to approach the guy again. — "Don't keep me waiting, Tan…" — Genya didn’t have time to say anything when something cold fell on his head, enveloping him in a circle of shaved and unshaved hair, as if... — Wreath? — the young man raised his eyebrows and looked at Tanjiro, removing his hands from his eyes. He nodded, smiling. — Whi-te clo-ver… — the demon said hesitantly.. — To you.., Genya! The hunter was surprised when Tanjiro said his name without stammering. Genya's cheeks flushed, and her arms spread in front of Kamado. — Thank you very much! — Shinazugawa invited the demon into his arms with this action, which he understood, and at the same moment he joined the hunter with his body, wrapping his arms around him and sitting on his knees. — I tri-ed… for you…, Genya! — Tanjiro lifted his head and looked directly at his friend. A gentle smile lit up his face as he smacked Shinazugawa's nose. Genya, although inwardly surprised, remained calm on the outside and just smiled gently, looking into the scarlet eyes, bright even in such darkness. They looked so stern, but so sweet and naive. — I love you… Genya! — Tanjiro laughed, placing his hands on the hunter's shoulders, stretching them out. — I love you with all my heart too, but let you be human first, and then we'll talk about it. — The boy smiled, then stroked the demon's head with his right hand, loosening the grip of his left hand, which was on his back. However, this smile was false, because it seemed to him that if Tanjiro turned back into a human, he would simply forget about what happened between them, all those minutes spent with him would be forgotten for him, so he did not want to let him close to him. For Genya, everything is different, because you can’t order your heart. — Agh... — the demon raised his hands up slightly and lowered them back, lightly hitting Shinazugawa. Genya laughed at this mini-protest. Kamado's eyelids began to close slightly. He continued to sit proudly on his knees, but fatigue took its toll as he and Zenitsu wandered for a long time in search of this clover for the wreath. Genya noticed this and was about to get up, pulling Kamado along, but a spark flashed in the demon's eyes. He reduced the distance between them and touched the hunter's lips with his lips, closing his eyes. This outburst was so unexpected that Genya forgot how to breathe. He raised his head so much that the wreath fell off her. The kiss wasn't forceful: just the usual touch of the lips without a hint of a deepening. But how many feelings he conveyed and awakened. It's a floating feeling in his stomach that Genya has never really experienced. Tanjiro pulled away, his eyes still pure and naive, he smiled, his cheeks flushed. Shinazugawa finally remembered how to breathe, as if he was afraid of scaring the demon away with his breath. Now, Genya will be more depressed by the knowledge that Tanjiro will forget him. But after all... people don't forget.
