Arc Four. Bloody Binding in Konoha. Chapter 14. Legendary Swords of the Mist.

Settings
I slept until the evening. After a quick bite of the first food I could find, which was pasta, I sat down at the table, opened the letter and read. The letter:       "Mi, I don't know if you can even read this letter or not. After all, you have a serious battle ahead of you, however, you must realise that war is already knocking on our windows. We need weapons to stand against the others. My intelligence reports research on a village hidden in stone. I won't send you a copy, but know that they have created something terrible in terms of genetics. The Sand Village has formed an alliance with a very ancient clan, the Kaneko. I know next to nothing about them, however all of my ancestors have maintained neutrality with these ninjas. I don't want to check on my own bitter experience, why that is so, I don't want to. I should know better. Besides, my intelligence reports that the puppets of the Shirogane clan have become very dangerous. The village hidden in the clouds has an individual trump card related to their basic predisposition to elemental chakra. Lightning is the only elemental you can cover your body with, creating a semblance of a veil. It is referred to as the nintaijutsu of the element of lightning. Anyone who has achieved enough control over this element is able to use nintaijutsu that accelerates the user to incredible parameters. I'm not talking about the physical strength that this cover gives... Speaking of Konoha, the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan are still feared by the entire world. The ninja have heard about the strength of Madara and Hashirama, but they have no idea that all the other Uchiha and Senju are not that outstanding. Even the power of the current Hokage pales in comparison to the power of the Shinobi Gods. I respect Tobirama, but that's just a fact. If they die, then the world will be in the depths of wars not for power... noooo... they will want to exterminate the descendants of the Shinobi Gods first, if there are any. Even the death of one of them would provoke such a thing... Okay. I'll get to the point. None of the clans in our village are world-renowned. They're not feared, not respected. Underestimation is good, but I need a bargaining chip. I've decided to create a squad of seven ninjas capable of winning any battle on their side. I may regret creating weapons for these ninjas, but that will be in the future. Your task is to evaluate the quality of seven swords that were forged in the Land of Iron to my order. You will find all the necessary information in the boxes. Not all the swords have been finished yet. I've made arrangements with Ashina. I hope he has the skill to realise my ideas. If you have any further thoughts on what I have written, I look forward to hearing from you, but do not withhold your weapons. Byakuren, the first mizukage."       You know, I'm so fucking intrigued. I should be so lucky. I'll be able to hold the weapons carried by the strongest ninja in my village. Wait, aren't I one of those seven ninjas? Maybe I'll get one of those swords. What do I need them for, though? Morgana's there. We've been through so much with her. Okay, let's get to the boxes. I unpacked the first box, which contained a massive, wide sword in the shape of a giant butcher's knife. Taking it in my hands, I realised that it was quite heavy for a normal ninja. Not every jounin would be able to use it in combat. I, on the other hand, could handle this weapon with ease. The sword also has two round notches. One on the end. It is right in the centre, but the second cut is on the sharp part of the blade near the hilt. At first I didn't understand what these cuts were for, however, when I read the name, an epiphany came over me. The sword was named Kubikiribocho, which when deciphered means "Decapitating Cutting Knife". One of the interesting things about the sword was that it should be able to recover from the blood on it. The idea was rather strange, but understandable. The owner of this sword will be an executioner in the squad, and also this ninja will be able to fight even long battles with the properties of the sword, which does not seem to have any incredible strength. I put the sword back down, admiring this work of art.       I was about to go to the next box to get the next sword when one of the boxes moved, catching my attention. I was at the fallen box in one swift movement. It was larger than the box that contained the last sword, which was already giving me mixed thoughts. As I unraveled the ropes in which the box was tied, I realised that the weapon had been packed very well. When I did open the box, something with scales literally came at me. Something slobbery and soft was digging into my hand. Coming to my senses I realised that the sword... hell... the sword was eating my chakra just like that. It was amazing. In fact, the sword itself was made up of many individual scales pointing downwards that ran all the way down the sword to the hilt, which had a small shard as a pommel, which was unpleasantly embedded in my hand. A living sword, what could be more interesting? While the sword happily consumed my chakra, I began to study the information about it. The sword was named Samehada. To make a long story short, the sword was based on shark skin. Why was the sword alive? It was sealed with a demon that likes to feed on cold chakra. Cold chakra? Is that like the chakra of ninjas who have the element of water? That explains a lot. Wait... I only glanced at the sword for a second, after which I tensed up all over. The sword grew in size. That's brutal. It wasn't two metres like before, it was four metres. Horror... I even slightly panicked at such a phenomenon. After quickly reading, I calmed down. The sword can absorb the chakra of both its master and enemies. The chakra of its enemies can be transferred to its master. The sword itself grows in size with too much chakra. This sword is a glutton... It's sucking up half of my chakra. It's horrible. Only after that did he unhook himself, falling to the floor. He must have blacked out. He's drooling... even snoring. All right, let's move on to the next find.       Opening a new drawer, I discovered a new sword that was not at all like the previous two. Another amazing find. The sword was a broad, flat blade with two curved recesses near its base, creating a sort of cross shield. The two handles were connected to each other by a short length of binding rope. The overall shape of the sword resembles that of a flounder. This sword was not alive, which already pleased me. I proceeded to describe the sword's abilities with interest. Well, what can I say? The sword will be able to transform the user's chakra into different weapons. Of course, that's an idea, especially when you consider the fact that the sword can be split into two identical swords. This little masterpiece goes by the names Hiramekarei. After playing with this sword for a couple more minutes, I made sure of the quality of the sword's craftsmanship, then sent it back into the box, proceeding to the next toy.       In the next box I found two blades at once. They were a pair of swords, each with thin and straight double-edged blades. Both main blades also had short blades bent upwards near the point of one side and another at the base of the other side of the blade. The underside of the swords consisted of smooth brown handles with round grey hilt. With a quick glance at the weapons, I was already able to judge the sharpness of both blades. I didn't dare to take the blade. My gut told me they could pierce even snakeskin. The swords have been named Kiba. These swords would grant the user the ability to use the element of lightning without folding seals. To be honest, I don't know how Ashina will implement it. I'll have to ask him later. Okay, what's next for us?       The next weapon I couldn't really call a sword. It was a big hammer and an axe tied together with a rope. Well, well, it's called a Kabutowari. Mm, that's interesting. Simple, of course, but fun. A weapon that can penetrate any defence. Yeah, you'd have to be very physically fit to use that sword. With the axe, you strike and if the opponent blocks your blow, you unleash a crushing power that can pierce their defences. The sword looks very sturdy, however I'm not sure if it can withstand too much force of blows. Ashina will probably have to increase its durability with seals. It's theoretically possible. Let's see how he does afterwards.       The next sword wasn't quite a sword again. It was more of a half metre long needle with a ball of steel fishing line attached to it. Oh, that's a sword I'd like to have in my armoury. Even without reading the description, I understood how it worked. The owner of this sword should be a ninja with good counting abilities, as well as a body flexible enough to use this weapon skilfully. The needle is very sharp, so the only thing this sword is capable of doing is piercing enemies to death. The speed of the needle is always faster than a kunai or shuriken. It's just physics. The needle has a smaller contact area with the wind, which creates a frictional force as it flies, allowing the needle to fly at a higher speed. That's why I love needles... I could have played with this masterpiece for a long time, but it was getting late. I didn't want to disrupt the mode, so I quickly started on the last box.       The last sword was... strange? Yes, that was the word that came to my mind. Its meaning was not quite clear to me. I would describe its use as follows: "If it all goes to shit, I'm gonna blow it up." By design, the blade is supposed to use the various explosive seals contained in a large scroll to create explosions while fencing. The sword itself had two different sides, with a narrow cutting edge located at the bottom of one length and a wide layer platform on the other. The aforementioned scrolls unfolded along this latter part, sliding downwards and resting on top of its surface to form an individual section consisting of numerous explosive seals that separated from the rest upon detonation. The attachment attached to the sword stated that this sword was safe enough if one was able to move out of the blast kill zone. It took me a few minutes to sort through the description of the sword. It was difficult to understand its use... honestly, I tried, however all I understood was that during combat, when an enemy makes contact with the platform, the blast seals would finally ignite and then disengage, providing a small opportunity for the user to avoid getting within range of the devastating blast while offsetting any recoil received. It's weird to me, since I can put a one-touch seal on an opponent's body. But okay. For me, this sword is redundant in this collection. I think I'll write a report about everything tomorrow, and tonight it's time to go to bed....
