Arc Two. Travelling through the Land of Fire. Chapter 12. The impossible becomes possible.

Settings
The negotiations were seriously delayed. I didn't take part in the negotiations because my main task was to protect Mito. I was one hundred per cent sure that the Senju clan leader wouldn't do anything to her, and what's more, I thought he would protect her to the last. Why not? I saw a light in his eyes that was impossible to miss when he first looked at Ashina's daughter. It was love at first sight, which I didn't really believe in, but now, seeing the way the great ninja was complimenting Uzumaki, I began to realise that it was possible. There was always Tobirama in the negotiations, a look that had been creeping me out lately. He was looking at me strangely. I even felt like he was watching me. I didn't like it, but it didn't bother me too much. I spent time with Yumiko. The girl first gave me a good thrashing for my actions and for making her worry. For two more days she walked around offended, and I had to work my arse off to get her to forgive me. Morgana laughed at the ridiculousness of it all. She was amused by Yumi's actions and my reaction to them.       I also had an interesting dialogue with Mito. No arrogance or pride. The girl just said "Thank you" in a very complicated language, even though I understood it, but I was again taken out of my brain for several hours about what a bad person I am, that I left my mistress alone. In short, it's easier to go to war than to go through all the stuff that's been dumped on me in the meantime. I guess I should be happy that Uzumaki and Yuki are worried about me, but now I have so much responsibility on my shoulders that it's a pain in the arse. It's really easier to be alone in that regard. I can understand Yumi's worries. She really wants to be my wife and we have a kind of love, but what's wrong with Mito? What does she think she's doing? I'm afraid to even think about such a thing, but she has the good sense not to kill the head of the Senju clan at random, because in her eyes I can see that she does not like him, but she has to behave as befits the heiress of the Uzumaki clan.       Another important thing happened yesterday. I received a letter from sensei where he unexpectedly adjusted my mission. I didn't like it, because if I had known it was going to be like this, I would have refused the mission. So how do you change a mission so much that I don't like it at all? It's very simple. This genius thought that I could calm the fervour of the two clans. I don't know why, but he asked me to try to make peace with the Uchiha clan as well. I understand that, but in light of recent events, I'd rather have Madara rip my head off than sign an alliance treaty. I'll try to talk to Izuna on the way back, but there's no guarantee at all that the shinobi god will agree to a truce... not even that. it's almost a hundred per cent likely he'll refuse, since he already knows that the Uzumaki are engaged in friendly negotiations with Senju, who are their sworn enemies. In short, I've been given an impossible task.       I haven't forgotten about the training as well. My physical stats were now starting to exceed the threshold of a normal ninja. This pleased me. I was now able to use not only simple ice transformation in my techniques, but also liquid ice. Oh, that was just something. This substance was much more malleable in attack than solid ice, and it also had much higher penetration power compared to ice air. But the most amazing thing wasn't that, it was the fact that Morgana could now leave my body. It was a pity that it wasn't in human form, but in blade form, but even so it was a real achievement. Since we had a telepathic link, I could control the weapon on a whole other level unlike any other ninja. I hadn't tried it all out in real combat yet, but I already felt that I was no longer defenseless in this world. Morgana also outlined what I should strive for in the future, to develop the abilities of my enhanced genome to its limits. I was surprised by her words, because she was talking about a fourth aggregate state of matter that she had managed to create in the past world. She called it plasma. The sorceress fiercely declared that when I could master the control of the highest type of substance, plasma, I would hardly be able to resist anyone. To make me realise the magnitude of her words, she drew examples from my past, comparing Jace with and without his hammer. It was significant, because without the hammer, my old friend was a mere scientist, unable to fight, but with his favourite hammer, he was a warrior with a brilliant intellect and the ability to fight at close and long range. However, there was one catch to this marvellous tale. Plasma required a lot of energy to exist, in this case it would be my chakra, for as I realised, I had to get the atoms of the molecules out of equilibrium. The cost problem would have to be solved by my seal, but that was too far in the future....       This morning, I learned that the Senju clan is going on a mission assigned to them by the Fire Nation daimyo himself. One of the Senju's demands from the negotiations was that we must help them complete this mission. Obviously, they don't really need our support, but Hashirama will be able to drag out the negotiations for more time so he can be alone with Mito for longer. The mission was to protect a small village nearby, but all my instincts were screaming that something very bad was coming. But I couldn't decide such matters, after all, the main person on the mission was Mito, to whom my words about the bad feeling were received very sceptically.... the girl just brushed it off so to speak.... I didn't really have much of a choice, so I set off with Senju. Yumi came with us, of course. It was clearly not a good idea to split up right now. It was stupid and dangerous. Together we had at least some chance of fighting back the enemy.       When we got there, we found a very ordinary, unremarkable village that didn't even have any ninjas in it. The mission was to stay here for a week. For two days nothing happened and I was beginning to think that my intuition had failed me. I was wrong... On the third day, they came... the great Uchiha clan. They were very angry. they must have had a personal grudge against this village. The anger and hatred of the red-eyed clan should have caused them to act rashly, but their leader showed due diligence in the tactics of seeing the battle. They didn't rush in, wanting to just slit everyone's throats. No, Madara sent the squad on a detour. That way, they had us in a ring, because we couldn't move away from the village. The squad would have just destroyed it while we fought the main army. On the fourth day we were taken into the ring and the battle began. I didn't spare my attackers, slaughtering them left and right.        I left Yumiko in the makeshift medical centre, which was a large tent. She was much more useful there now than on the battlefield. Within half an hour, the forest clearing was already reeking of stench and blood. Mountains of corpses and a lot of wounded people who could not be treated during the battle. I tried to stay close to Tobirama and Izuna's fight, but also away from Madara and Hashirama's fight. I did so because I didn't want to lose a friend, but I also didn't want to die from the stray technique of two Shinobi Gods who were clearly at odds. I was slowly getting closer to the battle between the younger Senju and the younger Uchiha. I tried to do it in such a way that they wouldn't suspect anything. I had a terribly crazy plan, but I saw it as the only possible option that would allow me to complete my mission, though not without consequences. Pretending to fight one of the Uchiha who didn't even have a sharingan, I waited for the right moment. And in a few minutes, it came. The Uchiha took Senju by surprise. He wounded him, but not seriously. The techniques of the two elements, fire and water, collided to form a veil of hot steam. I knew that each of them would not be troubled by such a veil. Senju was a good sensor, and Uchiha had a sharingan that could see through such a minor barrier. They were already used to having no outsiders interfering in their fight, fearing for their lives, so I rushed into the steam, believing my plan would work, good thing I was a sensor too. Tobirama threw several kunai towards Izuna who easily dodged them, however he noticed at the last moment that one of them had a seal on it. He was about to jump back to avoid being hit by the explosion, mistaking the teleportation seal for an explosive seal... There was no explosion.... Tobirama appeared next to the kunai, about to unleash one of his fastest attacks. The albino was already excited to end this eternal argument, but I snapped at him.       - Ice element, freezing. - I mouthed the name of the technique, blowing liquid ice out of my lungs, covering Izuna and Tobirama from head to toe.       - Michiko? - The Uchiha shrieked with surprise in his voice, looking up at me. Tobirama's blade was already at Izuna's throat, ready to kill the youngest heir of the red-eyed clan, but Senju was covered from head to toe in ice, as was Uchiha. Before they could think of anything else, I quickly approached them, placing a chakra suppression seal on both of them. I had prepared them in advance.       - Stop! - I shouted across the battlefield, adding chakra to my voice. The ninjas stopped slashing at each other, staring at me with incomprehension. I only grinned at that. Two ice pins appeared in my hands, which I placed against the throats of my captives. About a thousand pairs of eyes were already looking at me, in which I could read the fierce hatred and malice. - Drop your weapons. - I added, when even Madara and Hashirama stopped. The Uchiha reluctantly released their katanas and kunai to the ground at the order of the clan leader, who glared at me as if I'd already killed his brother. - You too. - I said, turning to the Senju clan members.       - But we are allies. - Hashirama hissed, his gaze darkening. He made a series of hand gestures, and then all the Senju laid down their weapons. He made a few hand gestures, after which all the Senju also laid down their weapons. No, he seriously thought that I wouldn't notice that he was creating a tree clone in such a way that I couldn't see it with a glance.       - Unmake your clone, Hashirama san. - I added, pressing lightly on the throat of Tobirama, whose gaze was expressing such fury that words could not convey. Only one person looked at me as if I were a saint. It was Izuna. He had already guessed what I wanted to do. The elder Senju, at the sight of this picture, raised his hands in surrender, whereupon his clone appeared from under the ground, dispelling.       - Mito! - I shouted, trying to find the red-haired girl. The girl, taking her time, came out of the crowd, starting to approach me.       - What are you doing? - she hissed at me as she approached.       - I'm fulfilling my mission. - I told her coldly, not taking my gaze off her eyes. She even flinched at that. It took her about twenty seconds to digest the information. - Make a seal on the blood. - I demanded in a commanding tone, seeing that Ashina's daughter was ready to listen further. I saw such a range of emotions in her gaze that it made me shudder. After a few seconds, she headed off in the direction of Hashirama and Madara. I whispered the terms of the contract to her.       - You do realise you're not getting out of here alive, right? - Madara said menacingly as he continued to glare at me.       - Who knows?" I answered him indifferently, and then a contemptuous grin appeared on my face. The Uchiha was so hurt that he was ready to lash out at me, but Hashirama's hand on his shoulder stopped the Shinobi God. While this silent struggle between the heads of the two great clans was going on, Mito had already written the entire treaty. She approached me with such a troubled look that I felt sick. I quickly ran my eyes over the treaty before dripping my blood on it. Uzumaki walked over to the two Shinobi Gods, handing them the document, which they began to study. Not five minutes later, they both shouted in one voice.       - We will not sign this. Never! - Hashirama and Madara were furious at this, but seeing me pressing harder on their brothers' necks, they gave in, signing the document. The members of the Uchiha clan began to whisper amongst themselves, not understanding what was even happening now. Senju had a similar reaction, though they didn't stare at me as angrily as the Uchiha did. When the treaty fell into my hands, I let Tobirama and Izuna go. Tobirama was already looking at me more calmly, even showing a bit of interest in his eyes. He was probably starting to get the gist of what was going on. Izuna looked at me with gratitude in his eyes, though there was no emotion on his face. After that, the Uchiha left us, and Mito completed the negotiations with Hashirama in two days, whose look changed after Tobirama explained everything to him.       What was the big deal about the treaty? Oh, it was simple... an alliance pact for the inviolability of the three clans, Senju, Uchiha, and Uzumaki. It was made on blood, which meant that it could only be cancelled by the common consent of all three clans and a third person who was the guardian of the treaty. That person was me. This immediately gave me immunity from the three clans. Failure to honour the treaty would result in a curse for all members of the clan. It is unlikely that anyone will check the punishment, for blood is the power of life. Madara and Hashirama know this well, so they are fully aware of the consequences of a wrong decision.
