Arc Two. Travelling through the Land of Fire. Chapter 4. The Uchiha are not what they seem at first glance.

Settings
The Uchiha clan has always been renowned for their outstanding abilities in the ninja world. Their eyes allowed them to develop in all areas of ninja at once. Taijutsu? No problem. The Sharingan is capable of copying the movements of an opponent. Ninjutsu? Pfft, that's a piece of cake. The eyes of the members of this clan were able to copy the opponent's techniques. This was happening for two reasons.       Firstly, the sharingan was capable of copying the series of seals that any ninja had to put together to reproduce the correct chakra flows to form a technique.       Secondly, the red eyes were capable of seeing the chakra flows within the ninja. Perhaps the sharingan was inferior to the biakugan in this regard, but it still allowed for some other level of understanding of elemental techniques, which in turn gave the wielder of this dojutsu the ability to reconstruct a technique using the chakra manipulations seen in the opponent's body. All in all, these were true miracle eyes that any ninja would want to have. Why do you think I'm talking about the great Uchiha clan? Well, it's very simple.       I woke up in bed. I don't know how much time had passed, however it was hard to breathe. At first I thought I had broken some ribs during the fight, but when I opened my eyes, I was both relieved and confused. The blonde-haired beast had very brazenly occupied my chest, comfortably perched on it. And she was sleeping peacefully at the same time. She looked too cute in that state. It's a mortal sin to wake her up. I have a headache, too... it's really bad... I'll have to lie down for a while... I must have hit my head during the fall.       I realised that it was better not to move now, so I looked around to see where I was - two bedside tables next to the bed; an unremarkable table in front of the window, with two unknown flowers on the window sill; a chair next to the bed, obviously intended for someone who used me as a pillow. Though it must be admitted that I didn't mind it much. She must have been worried sick about me. It was only towards the end that I noticed that the only door that served as an exit from the room was covered with a cloth embroidered with a red and white fan. The realisation did not come immediately, however it descended upon me like a hammer falling on an anvil.       I accidentally jerked violently, causing the sleeping beauty to wake up. She sweetly wiped her slimy eyes, after which she looked at my astonished face. I still hadn't come to my senses. I stared at the Uchiha clan emblem, simply marvelling at how lucky I was, for it was from this clan that there was a person I could safely call my first friend. Riko's daughter gazed intently at my facial features for a while, as if questioning the identity of the person she was laying her hands on.       - Mi? - She asked a rhetorical question, then pounced on me without even waiting for an answer. I'm sure my bones will be sore for a week after something like that. I realised she was just hugging me, but damn it, my spine crunched in three places at once. My surprise immediately faded to nothing, and a wheeze of pain came out of my mouth.       - You're choking me," I mumbled after a few seconds of the warm embrace, for I was no longer getting enough oxygen. Yumiko caught on immediately, reluctantly releasing me but still sitting on top of me.       - I'm glad you're not dead. - She stated with a satisfied smile, looking into my eyes.       - I'm glad I'm not dead either. - I answer her with the same smile on my face. Still, this girl has already taken my heart and there's nothing I can do about it. - How long was I unconscious? - I asked in a more serious voice after a moment of silence, during which we just enjoyed each other's existence. It was a pleasant pastime, but we needed to start solving real problems to understand the situation we were in, even though I already knew roughly what had happened...       - We didn't get far from your battle site, though we wasted just a huge amount of time. We were slowed down by the carts of goods and the merchants themselves. But there was nothing to do but leave them behind... We came across a patrol of the Uchiha clan. We were lucky in that respect, because we were on the border of the two clans' territories. And the Uchiha clan leader's brother was in the patrol. In the end, they went to help you. That's all I know. They're just shaking their heads at what they saw out there. What happened there? - Riko's daughter first told everything she knew and then asked a counter question.       - I exhaled nervously, because I was prepared for a worse outcome. - Well, let's just say that I stopped the great demon, Kyubey Noyoku, by spending all my chakra on it. Although, I have to admit, stopped is a pretty big word..." I stated, lowering my head down.       In fact, I was ashamed of how weak I was. Yes, this Fox is one of the strongest creatures in the world, but even so I blamed myself for not being able to defeat him. Only to apprehend it and then run without looking back, hoping that the demon wouldn't get to me and my loved ones. It's such a nasty feeling - the feeling of helplessness. I need to get even stronger as soon as possible so I don't have to worry about such things. My forehead seal hasn't accumulated enough chakra to activate yet. With it, I'll be able to stand on equal footing with such monsters. Or at least close to their level.       - Hey, are you even listening to me?! - Yumi said indignantly, realising that I was flying around in my thoughts. - I could get offended like that. - She added, turning away from me playfully.       - Come on, come on, be quiet, Yumi-chan. - I whispered in her ear in a soothing tone, lightly hugging her waist as an apology. The girl immediately blushed at such actions.       - Okay, apology accepted, just let me go. - The red as a cancer girl muttered, but I had no intention of stopping.              - Is that what you want? - like an enchanted demon, I continued to whisper the words to her, triggering some not-so-childish thoughts in her head. Yumi was about to twist out of my grip, but I was quicker. An unexpected and much-anticipated kiss. Digging into her small lips, I prayed that she would reciprocate.       After a few seconds, she began to move her tongue, already fully aware of what was happening and recovering from the shock. She accepted my challenge. Our tongues merged in a passionate dance for the right of domination... We began to be overcome by lustful thoughts... Hormones just by themselves stirred in our bodies, wanting to give free rein to animal instincts....       - Ahem... ahem... excuse me, but Madara-dono is expecting you. - A male voice spoke, interrupting our enjoyment. We just had to interrupt our kiss. When I turned towards the voice that disturbed us, there was no one there anymore, but I saw the door closing. Of course we weren't happy about something like this, but it's not like we're going to kill this ninja when his clan is hosting us as guests. It even sounded wild. It took us a few minutes to get our appearance in proper condition. We can't go to meet the head of the Uchiha clan in our underwear, can we? Although it would even be interesting to see his reaction.....       When I left the room, I found a rather thin guy in his twenties with black eyes. At first, I threw a very penetrating glance at him, which caused him to even falter from me.       - Sir, I didn't mean to disturb you. An order is an order. I can't help it. - he said in a very rough bass voice. I was surprised, for the voice did not match the appearance of the man standing in front of me. I stared at him for a while, trying to figure out what kind of man was standing next to me.       - You don't have bags under your eyes from sleeplessness, do you? - I asked the logical question. As a scientist who had studied the nature and illnesses of people, I could tell the difference between bruises under my eyes and bags from insomnia.       - What?" the Uchiha said in surprise, his pupils dilating involuntarily. - It's none of your business, sir. - He added in a colder voice, pulling himself together. His face was petrified. I don't know how he did it, but it seemed amusing enough. Such emotionality from members of this clan is actually a real rarity. Even though he didn't ultimately give an answer to my question, I could easily guess from his reaction that I had hit the sorest point.       I knew that in the great Uchiha clan, only strength was accepted and respected, but I had never imagined that ninja without talent were being bullied. Perhaps it was all my imagination, but the facts so far suggested otherwise. Deduction rarely failed me, but still, it had happened before. We went from one house to another. This one could even be called a small palace, the head of the clan was apparently swimming in luxury, but I couldn't blame him for that. He had achieved a lot in his life, not only as a great ninja, but also as the head of the clan. We passed through several rooms that were provided for guests and entered a huge hall, in the centre of which there was a large enough table for a dozen people.       There were already several sets of food on the table, and two chairs were occupied. Two people were watching our arrival with a kind of interest, studying our every move. I was already familiar with the first person. It was Mito, and I could tell from the sad look on her face that she was having a hard time in the company of the second person, who had a very interesting appearance. He was a light-skinned man with black spiky hair that was partially moulded with a bluish hue. His clothes consisted of a long-sleeved blue shirt and white trousers. His long hair reached his waist, and his fringes framed his face further, while almost completely covering his right eye. He looked no more than thirty years old, but wrinkles were already clearly visible on his young face. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up, revealing scars on his arms that had apparently been received during battles.       Even though his gaze was kind now, however, longing and pain could be seen in his black eyes. From my observations, I could conclude quite accurately that this man, despite his young age, had seen a lot of things, yet he remained positive.       - Hello, Madara-dono. - I said, bowing my head in respect for the great man.       - No need for such formalities. Apparently, you are Mie, and your companion is Yumi. - Uchiha answered me with a smile on his face. - Have a seat at the table. As soon as my brother comes over, we'll start eating. While we have some time, tell me about how you chained the Kyuubi. It's very interesting. - The shinobi god added at once.       - Well, I think you've been told all about it. - I tried to excuse myself. I didn't want to reveal my cards to a potential adversary. Yes, a potential adversary. We may be eating under the same roof now, but I know well enough the irony of fate when your comrades become your enemies. As nice as Madara may seem at first glance, I know one thing for sure: he is the head of the Uchiha clan, and that means he carries a huge weight of responsibility on his shoulders. All of his actions will be for the good of his clan.       - That's true, but they couldn't describe the technique they saw to me in enough detail. - The Uchiha said in a more demanding tone. I realised that I was simply stumped in my current state. He had only slightly released his aura, and I could already feel an invisible hand at my throat, squeezing it, cutting off the flow of oxygen.       - Brother, is this how you greet sick guests? - I heard the painfully familiar voice of an unknown person from the side....
