Chapter 2 "Horror"

Settings
Sunny morning. A warm faint breeze blew the red fur of the fox cub. The sun was shining very brightly, illuminating the entire space. The cub walked through the vast wasteland without looking under the paws. Suddenly, the fox cub felt an abyss in front of him. He jumped back in horror and saw the same deadly cliff in which he almost died. All the sunlight instantly went out and the cub was in darkness, seeing in front of him a seething strong stream of water below. Later, he noticed a strange figure. It was a fox! The fox cub didn't know what to do. He wanted to help the beast, but he was very afraid and could not move. Suddenly, the current seemed to stop carrying the redhead forward and the fox, who was in the stream, abruptly raised his head to the main character. The fox cub was horrified: this fox did not have one eye, and blood was flowing from his mouth.       Fox Cub I tried to run as fast as possible but this same fox, bleeding and water, somehow found himself right in front of him. Now the cub noticed that the belly of this beast was pierced through. Suddenly, the ground left under the paws of the baby and he began to fall. - Meow! - woke up the fox cub.       The cub abruptly jumped up from the litter and began panting, shaking off his head from this terrible dream. There was a cat in front of the redhead who saved him from certain death. The baby immediately cheered up and jumped up to her. - Hello, cat! - the fox greeted cheerfully, but remembered that she did not understand him.        The gray cat slipped him a large gray vole. The fox cub couldn't believe his eyes. "Silver fireflies, This is very big!" - thought the redhead, starting to devour the food greedily. Recently, his father couldn't catch such a big meal. Often they got only two or three bony mice per family.       After the meal, the fox cub saw that the cat was sorting herbs for some reason. The cub came closer and began to observe her occupation. When she finished, the cat meowed and left the cave, calling the fox cub after her. Ginger happily ran after her, but as soon as he entered the clearing, he immediately became nervous. A large number of cats were sitting here and looked at the fox angrily. Why does everyone hate him?       Saddened, the fox cub ran up to the waiting cat again, after which the two of them left the camp.Ginger missed his mother very much and would give everything he has now to meet her. But he was also scared that evil brothers and sisters were waiting for him at home. He was also afraid of his father. What if he wants to kill him again?       After some time, they reached the two-legged bridge, next to which they tried to drown him. Pushing aside the memories of icy water and a terrible grin, the fox cub, trying to keep up with the cat, imagined what the reaction of others would be when he returned. Suddenly the cat stopped and clung to the ground, waiting for the moment, she took the fox cub by the collar and quickly raced across the bridge, hiding in the nearest bushes. The fox cub did not even have time to understand what had happened and began to look around, sticking his head out of the bush. He knows this place! The burrow is not far away!       — We are close! — The little fox exclaimed joyfully.        The cat hissed quickly and also leaned out, starting to look around. After checking the area, she gently nudged the fox cub and slowly followed him. The fox cub was running, bouncing with joy. Here she is! Nora was already in sight. The fox turned around to see where the cat was, looking back, he did not find it, but then noticing movement under a bush, he saw a cat who gestured for him to go on without her.       The fox cub turned back towards the burrow. There were 2 cat jumps left before her. He happily ran into the hole, but there was no one there. At first he thought that everyone was in the clearing where his brothers and sisters often played, or they had all gone hunting together, but then he saw a piece of fur and drops of blood on the floor. Not believing his eyes, he began to sniff and felt the smell of cats who lived not far from the burrow. The fox cub ran out in desperation and began to look around, sniffing at every scent. His heart was pounding with fear. Is it really true? Looking under the bush under which the cat was sitting, he saw that she was also worried about something. She cautiously approached the fox cub and sniffed the hole. Her eyes didn't widen much and she started following the scent. After 3 fox jumps, she stood up and stared at the ground, the fox cub walking from the back came up to her and stared at the dead body of his brother. He came closer to him and touched his side with his paw. Blood gushed out of his mouth, the fox jumped away from him and hid behind the cat.        The cat abruptly jumped up to him and began to quickly examine him. At this time, he began to have a severe cramp, his eyes rolled back, the blood began to flow even faster and at one point he froze. The cat tried to pump him out, and the fox cub looked at everything that was happening with stopped horror in his eyes and could not move. Suddenly the cat stood up and meowed something sadly. The fox cub immediately realized that she did not have time. The cat turned to him and began to lick him, but he continued to look at the dead body and did not pay attention to the cat. After a while, she took him by the collar and dragged him in the opposite direction.       When they returned to the camp, everyone was already asleep, only a few cats were sitting at the entrance and talking about something. They looked at the newcomers and began to hiss. The cat let the fox cub fall to the ground, but it almost fell like a rhinestone. His legs refused to hold him. The cat managed to grab him and gently put him on the ground, then she began to tell these cats something. These cats were looking at her, suddenly one turned and started looking at the fox cub. He meowed questioningly and nodded towards the fox cub, who was lying with his eyes wide open and shaking violently. All the cats turned in his direction and began to examine him. The grey cat meowed a sad story. The cats snorted in disbelief and went into the cave. The cat picked up the fox cub and dragged it into the cave with herbs. She put him on the same pallet where he had slept last time and went into the far corridor. She returned from there with some kind of plant that the little fox had already seen somewhere. The cat came up to him and poured a couple of black seeds on the leaf.
