Chapter 1

Settings
They had a rather interesting tendency, especially considering their different personalities.  «Damn it, you bastard! Did you take my sweatshirt again?! - The kid ran out of the room, yelling at his little brother. He was mad as hell. «Kuna, you hardly wear anything besides sweatshirts!" Junior peeked out of the kitchen and pouted his lip resentfully. «One sweatshirt will do! I don't understand why you need them at all!  Sukuna snarls, and ignoring their brother Choso's shouts from the kitchen, lashes out at his younger twin as he starts to run away, smelling something fried.  *** "And we're going to establish the order of our duties. - Before Choso can even close his mouth, his younger brother Sukuna immediately snaps.   - What the fuck? We had a normal life before!" The boy growls and glares menacingly at his brother. He and Yuji were so damn different. Yuji was too sunny, while Sukuna would chew his arm off at the elbow.  "Yuji and I literally do all the housework while you laze around or hang out, do you really have questions?» Choso was ready for Sukuna's outrage, and was fully armed.  - It was a normal life, so what's to change now?» Well, his little brother had a lot less conscience and decency than he thought. It wasn't particles, it was fucking atoms.  «You're insufferable, just mop the floors of the house once a week." And before Sukuna can start yelling at him, Choso leaves the room, slamming the door shut.  He doesn't understand how Yuji shares a room with such a monster. *** -Choso-nii! Kuna spilled coffee on my notes that I've been writing for a couple hours!" Yuji flies into the living room, waving the slimy coffee-stained paper, and his twin flies in right behind him. «And the lousy bastard spilled fucking tomato juice on my favorite shirt when he walked around in it, even though I fucking forbade it!» Sukuna waves the shirt with the huge reddish stain on it and growls towards Yuji. Choso makes a wise decision, picking up their cat Pushka and rocking him in his arms, ignoring the twins. ”Choso-nii?” "Are you kidding me?” Choso raises his calmest gaze at his younger brothers, with a crystal neutral face saying: «I'm in zen, leave me alone.” *** Choso walks between Yuji and Sukuna's room, stopping.  He doesn't hear any screams or fighting sounds coming from there, and no one seems to be killed there. That's odd. The man walks to the door and opens it, looking at the twins' room, divided in half by bright red duct tape.  Each of the twins are on their own half, looking at each other with a baleful stare. “What the hell is going on?” Yuji, without taking his eyes off Sukuna or blinking, answers him: “Me and Kuna have shared a room, and are arguing over who cleans the dust in the middle of the room.” Sukuna moo's approvingly and complements: “The lousy guy doesn't realize he's supposed to clean it, so we play a game of peek-a-boo to prove him right. “Sukuna speaks so damn confidently that Choso even forgets the absurdity of the situation. Temporarily.  He turns around, leaving the twins' room and soon hearing the familiar shouting. “What kind of idiots I live with. -He picks Pusk up in his arms and goes to his room.  Maybe, diving into zen doesn't sound like such a bad idea anymore. *** “Kuna, go wash the dishes, it's your turn. Yuji turns to the extremely angry twin, pointing to the full sink at his back.  “I'll wash the walls with your fucking blood. - Growls an angry Sukuna, to which Yugi rolls his eyes. "Whatever you say, just wash the dishes. *** “We’re bastards.” Sukuna hissed, glaring at her brothers. “You think everyone but yourself is a bastard.” Choso states, and Yuji mutters approvingly.  -I'm beautiful, wish there was another person like me.” He smiles smugly, and Choso lifts his gaze from the Cannon in his lap to his younger brother.  “Walk you to the dung heap?” The twins choke up, Yuji laughing and Sukuna with his own words. *** “Never.” Choso glares angrily at his younger brothers, arms crossed over his chest. “They're too young to date, especially you, Yuji.” The aforementioned twin snorts, his lip curling up resentfully and showing that he doesn't agree, while Sukuna grins and tries to pass off his giggling as a cough, for which he gets a sharp elbow to the side from the younger one.  “That goes for you too, Sukuna.” The boy immediately interrupts the chuckles and glares menacingly at him, growling. “And it's like I was asking for your opinion.” Sukuna steps closer to him, emitting his evil aura.  “I could literally lock you in your home and you would ask my opinion because I'm responsible for you and you live under my roof.” Choso thinks it's a counter argument, but Yuji's snort makes him a little uneasy. “Satoru has long suggested I move in with him if I'm so pissed off with Kuna and you're interfering with our dates.” Choso thinks with a moment, grabbing Sukuna by the scruff of his neck and covering his mouth with his hand. “Have a nice walk, Yuji!” He nods him towards the exit, but adds threateningly: “Make sure you're home no later than nine.” His little brother sparkles with happiness, coming over and kissing him on the cheek. “Choso-nii, you're the best!” The boy runs off towards the exit already packed, only picking up his bag and shoes. Just as Yuji is about to leave, his twin breaks free from Choso's grasp. “What the hell? So you let him go with a douchebag twice his age, but you don't let me go with Megumi?” Sukuna put his hands to his sides, burning a waiting look at Choso, who sat down calmly on the couch. "Yuji is frighteningly truthful and stubborn, especially when he promises something, so it's better to be under my roof, but with parties, than on the other side of town.” He shrugs, turning a lazy glance at Sukuna. “Don't even ask, that trick won't work with you.” Junior freaks out, throwing his sneaker at him, which he catches easily. “You're welcome!” Sukuna quickly disappears upstairs to her and Yuji's room, leaving Choso alone.  «Come here Fluffy, a new episode of «Sex and the City» is starting." *** The twins yell at each other in the kitchen, arguing about doing the dishes.  Again. Choso walks into the room, scowling at them and emitting that very rare, damn aggressive aura.  His younger brothers immediately fall silent, and he walks glumly over to the sink, pouring a mug of water and looking passive-aggressively at the mountain of dishes. «Choso-nii?" Their older brother stares at them for about a minute, silently sipping his water and walking away.  Already in the living room, the guy smiles, putting the glass away and grinning. The cat sits on his lap, and he starts stroking Fluff.  ”Now they will wash the dishes and dance on their hind legs." *** Choso walked into the living room, noticing the two pink muppets of his younger brothers and lurked in the distance, watching.  The television was on in the background, with the soft voices of the TV anchors blaring out of it. Both boys were seated on the couch, Yuji sitting in lotus position, lifting one leg to keep the vials steady and not spill the nail polish, and Sukuna nearby, leaning against the back of the couch and holding out one hand to his twin.  Yuji puffed diligently, carefully covering his brother's nails with black nail polish. They all knew that Sukuna was pretty sloppy, and when it came to his nail polish, it felt like his hands were growing out of his ass at that moment, because there was no other way to put it. The nail polish was uneven and bumpy, and the nail polish was getting on his skin and cuticle and running under the nail. All in all, it was a mess.  So Sukuna had to accept Yuji's help, and it had become their little tradition ever since.  Usually the twins would sit down together, and while Sukuna made a fuss, Yuji would lean over and gently run a brush over the nail plate.  The younger twin got it nice and neat at once, and grudgingly, mewing and mooing for a long time, Sukuna quietly thanked him, walking away and cocking his head to the side. The other only glowed with happiness.  Choso doesn't quite understand Yuji's joy, or why he still won't say no to Sukuna, but if he likes it - go ahead, it's none of his business as long as they don't wreck the house and die in the house. (He's not going to clean up their corpses, nope.) *** Choso adored his brothers. Sukuna and Yuji, their cousins Eso and Kechizu.  It was no wonder that almost his entire room was furnished with old photos, postcards, and gifts of his favorite little brothers.  On the nightstand was a recent picture of them, him and the twins at their birthday party. He stood behind them, smiling softly. Yuji put his arm around him, raising his hand in a welcoming gesture and smiling sunnily, while Sukuna looked at the camera with a grim frown, arms folded across his chest. He and Yuji had laughed at that for a long time, and laughed even longer at Sukuna, who then walked around with that funny angry face for a week.  ”Choso-nii?" Yuji walks inside, having knocked three times before. ”I wan..." His gaze runs around the room, where there's almost no free square of their pictures. “You know, I'll come back later.” And Junior turns around, walking away.  Sometimes Choso-nii is too much. That's enough. *** - Kuna, not like that!  Choso walked over to the noise in the twins' room, surprised to notice that they weren't fighting.  That was already progress for the two of them.  Yuji's phone was on the nightstand, and one of the new songs was playing softly in the background, Choso had heard it more than once since it had already spread all over the net and was literally everywhere. He shuddered as he continued to watch the twins.  They apparently didn't notice him, because not Yuji, not Sukuna, not one of them even glanced in his direction. Choso snorted resentfully, noting in his head to teach the twins a lesson sometime.  He was distracted by a quiet mate from Sukuna, who had fallen to the floor. Yuji standing nearby chuckled, eventually holding out a hand for his brother to get up.  As the older man realized - Yuji was teaching Sukuna how to... dance? He glanced at the twins again. Yuji had gotten into some sort of fancy stance, and the other boy had repeated it.  Well, tried to do it. Unlike Yuji, Sukuna could barely hold on, looking a little ridiculous and angry, but still repeating after his brother and trying not to fall over a second time.  Something habitually warm spilled into Choso's chest, and a smile graced his face. He loved those idiots. (But Sukuna would get the blame for the swearing, Choso wouldn't let the sweet and innocent Yuji start talking like Sukuna.) *** Choso often wore his trademark ponytails, and Yuji took every opportunity he got to see one of those ponytails start to unravel, and he'd drive the older man to the nearest seat, grabbing a comb and starting to braid it again. Choso himself never asked why the younger one liked braiding his hair so much, but he never complained, sitting quietly.  Their little regular tradition, even if Sukuna never missed a moment to tease them.  (He always got it later, if not from Choso, then from Yuji. No one could infringe on their tradition of braiding their ponytails.) *** Yuji cried out quietly as he felt himself start to slide forward, and a few moments later his ass hit the wet floor, hissing angrily.  He rubbed the bruised spot and sat up just as the older twin walked past him, dumping a mountain of dirty clothes on him.  “Snotty, throw it in the hamper later, I'm in a hurry.” He runs his hand over his head and walks away, leaving Yuji to gulp in indignation and stare angrily at the twin, wondering how to get back at him. Only a couple moments pass before Choso appears beside him, snorting and quickly adding. ”And don't forget to wash the dishes, Yuji." He repeats Sukuna's motion, rubbing Yuji's head and wishing him a good day, immediately leaving after Sukuna. Yuji blushes a little red with indignation and can only gulp air, opening his eyes.  (Later, he inadvertently mixes Sukuna's red and white clothes in the laundry, and washes the dishes badly, after which Choso will rewash them. He is told nothing.) *** Yuji and Sukuna peeked into the kitchen, looking at their older brother. Choso paced from place to place, hovering and muttering for a couple seconds at a time. “What's wrong with him?” Sukuna whispered to the guy standing next to him and looked at the ones their brother had almost hit his head on the refrigerator.  Yuji fiddled sympathetically seeing the older man's exertions and whispered to Sukuna. “Choso-nii came back last night, and he barely slept, only a couple hours, and it's been like this for the past day.” Sukuna is silent for a while, looking at the sleepy Choso, after shoving her twin in the side with her elbow. “Come on, I'll make him a drink that'll make sparks fly from his eyes.” He grinned evilly, putting on the kettle and opening the fridge, pulling out cream and one of his cans of energy drink.  Yuji squinted, watching his brother's actions and gently taking Choso back to the table. “Are you going to poison him?” Sukuna was mixing the already brewed coffee with the energy drink, pouring milk into it, and already reaching for the liquor cabinet.  “Nope, just to cheer you up a bit.” The guy adds some brandy and pours a decent amount of ice, chilling the drink and placing the mug in front of the older man, already almost asleep on the table. Choso nods sleepily, taking the mug in his hands and nodding gratefully, taking a couple small sips. The brunet's eyes widen comically and he jumps up, running over to the sink to spit out the horrible drink, and wash it down with water as soon as possible.  Choso turns around, glaring angrily at the twins and growling softly, but unequivocally awake. *** Sukuna had always been brash and rude.  He often shirked his chores, and Choso had gotten invited to school more than once because of him, or a couple of angry calls from other parents.  He and Yuji fought often, and when it came to talking to the pushy twin - he was boorish and rude right to his face, straight to the point. Sukuna was just a walking demonstration of a troubled teenager, and he and Yuji were used to it.  But, it could be used against Sukuna. Particularly for her and Yuji's jokes and teasing, but now... Choso was holding a book on parenting troubled teens. He'd found it for a penny on the internet, it was on sale, and when he saw the title he knew he had to buy it just for the sake of it.  The twins finally got home from school, and both walked just into the living room.  Yuji nudged his brother, laughing and saying something quickly in a loud voice while Sukuna grumbled loudly in an ostentatious manner. Choso knew for sure that despite his temper - Sukuna loves his twin, and even more than Choso cares for him.  The older one defiantly raises his hand with the book, looking directly at Sukuna.  "And what's this?” Sukuna frowns and stops, grabbing the fabric of Yuji's sleeve and pulling.  "Got it for you, it'll be useful.” The older man snorted, throwing the book at his brother. Sukuna dodged it and glared angrily at Choso, then transferred his gaze to the book.  "You do know it's a parent's guide, not a teenager's, right?” ”You could still use one." *** Yes, they fought and were mean to each other a lot, but they were still a family. (Just a little weird family, but that's okay.)
