Distraint

At the edge of the world, where the sunset opens its wings, there lived a lonely dreamer. His days flowed like a river, slowly and inexorably, but in every drop of time there was a secret. He was a wanderer in his own world, where the heavens touched the earth, and the stars were the lights of souls. His heart was a beacon in the darkness, shining above the vastness of longing. There were echoes of lost dreams lurking in his eyes, as if the stars had escaped from heaven to wallow in the dark waters of his soul. One day, at the moment when the night embraced the day, he heard the soft moan of the stars. Their pain shone in the fact that they forgot about their light. He decided to leave his corner of silence and go in search of the lost radiance. Fate led him through the labyrinths of time, where every turn was a meeting with the past. He opened the doors to his soul, and a candle of longing burned in every room of the memories he saw. The deeper he went, the harder it was to miss the shadows of lost moments knocking on closed doors. He met people whose faces were intertwined with threads of rainbows and thunderstorms, people whose stories were as complex and incomprehensible as nature itself. He witnessed the storms in their souls, heard the whisper of the wind carrying their secrets into the endless night. But the closer he got to the sources of light, the heavier his heart became. He understood that every open door was not a step towards light, but a step towards forgiveness. He was forced to pay with distress for his desire to return the radiance of the stars. And so, when he reached the edge of the world, he realized that to shine to others is to carry pain in himself. The stars that were once part of it now live in alien skies. He freed them from the darkness of his soul, and his own star went out. So his journey ended, and the evening became even quieter. He has become one of those who wander in the night, leaving his mark on the hearts of others.
