As time went.
Minutes followed each other one after another.
For Gregory, it was the longest night of his life.
He had never been so scared before.
He was locked in a building full of hostile animatronics and a crazy girl in a bunny costume.
And besides everything else, it seemed to Gregory that someone was always looking at him from the darkness.
It was so dark all around.
Any silhouette that Gregory could see reminded him of a terrible monster that at any moment would rush at him and finish him off.
The boy was shrinking into a tiny ball of fear, trying to become even smaller than he really was.
Although he was already quite small.
And it was all because his family treated the child extremely cruelly.
In addition to physical abuse, Gregory's parents periodically brainwashed him in the form of unexpected tests of courage.
The little boy was sent to a dark basement, where he was locked up, before that the light was turned off there.
Gregory could be kept in complete darkness for hours, until the boy was seized with wild horror: every shadow, every object in that basement seemed to the child a monster or a monster - a child's fantasy at his age played a strong role. And besides such horror, parents could still incite the child from behind the basement door, saying that he should be more careful, because all sorts of creeping creatures live there.
And it was then that Gregory developed a fear of the dark, and everything else that lives there.
Even now, his father's words echoed in Gregory's mind:
“Come on, Gregory, why don't you take a little walk. I'm sure the rat-headed snake from our cellar would like the company of a cute, yummy boy like you… Ha ha ha…”
And in the end, his terrible laugh always resounded. His father always liked to bully him. He was greatly amused by how Gregory was afraid of the dark.
But Gregory's mother was no better either.
Instead of helping her child, she only laughed at him along with her father.
They both enjoyed watching their child shake in terror in a dark basement.
And after, when Gregory was finally released from the darkness into the light, life was waiting for him no better. The boy could expect anything from beatings to a long hunger strike.
Living in such stress day after day, Gregory finally broke down.
One day, while his parents weren't seeing him, he ran away from them.
He was smart enough to get into one of the food trucks and drive it far to another city.
And then began his lonely life on the street.
He was cold and hungry.
However, the boy never asked for help from adults.
He just couldn't trust other people. Not after what his own family did to him.
Gregory was very afraid that he might be returned to his parents.
He was so afraid that this would happen, and that his whole life would become a real hell.
Therefore, it was easier for him to believe the words of the animatronic than the words of any of the adults.
And now Gregory did not know at all who to believe, and what he had to do.
He sat alone in total darkness.
Due to the lack of a shirt, he was rather chilly even though he was in the building.
However, the boy did not dare to go ahead and look for a way out.
The darkness was mercilessly pressing on him.
He was afraid even to take a step into this darkness.
He could only quietly cry from the horror he experienced, from meeting with a strange rabbit, and no less crazy animatronics.
Unexpectedly for himself, Gregory heard some sounds nearby. Like a small toy car.
Before the boy had time to think about how it could be, two huge yellow eyes suddenly appeared in front of him with round ears dangling behind him.
Gregory even jumped in surprise, but did not run. He had nowhere to run.
However, this creature was in no hurry to attack the boy. It only quietly drove closer to him and began to carefully observe the child.
Having calmed down a little, Gregory managed to make out this creature.
It was one of the staff robots.
One of those little yellow cleaning robots that said "Watch out for the wet floor!" Gregory breathed a sigh of relief.
Those cute robots couldn't hurt him.
On the contrary, they seemed very cute to the boy. Especially their small stature, bright eyes and big bear ears.
Gregory was always touched when they came across him on the road.
And right now, this robot even comforted Gregory with its presence: its bright eyes gave enough light so that the boy was not afraid to sit in the dark.
Maybe he could help him find his way out of this place?
Gregory began to call the robot to him.
“Listen, baby, come here… Please, I really need your help… I’m lost and I don’t know how to get out of here… And in addition, my flashlight is dead, and I can’t walk in the dark… Please help me… Please…”
The yellow robot looked at the boy for a while, tilting its head first to one side, then to the other.
Then he abruptly turned around and drove off somewhere away.
Gregory was left alone in the dark again.
However, before fear began to envelop him again, more light began to appear around Gregory.
Before him was the same robot again, only now he was not alone.
There were about eight of these floor cleaning robots around the boy, each with bright eyes.
The robots lined up in two lines, giving the boy the opportunity to go with them, remaining in the light from the eyes.
Gregory was happy.
He quickly and confidently got to his feet and followed the small robots.
The yellow janitors led the boy through various maintenance equipment.
And even then, despite the light from his new friends, it seemed to Gregory that terrible monsters lived around him.
Finally, a group of eight robots and one human reached the strange rising door.
When the door rose of its own accord, the boy saw that it was a gift shop.
Around him were a lot of all sorts of toys, clothes, and other paraphernalia associated with the line of animatronics.
Gregory didn't understand why the kids had brought him here until a couple of them suddenly stopped against one of the walls, pointing their heads somewhere up.
Looking closely, Gregory saw that it was a box in the shape of a bear's head.
Coming closer, the boy noticed that the head could open its mouth wide, and something could be put inside.
Gregory had the idea to put his empty flashlight in there.
And, lo and behold, a couple of minutes and Gregory again had a fully charged flashlight.
Finally he had a light source again.
The boy sincerely thanked the mini cleaners for their help.
The same ones only synchronously, and all at once, circled around their axis, and then dispersed in all directions, again leaving Gregory all alone.
However, the boy did not lose heart.
At least now he had light, which means that he still has not lost everything.
Looking around, Gregory came up with the idea of getting himself one of the new T-shirts to replace the one he had lost when he was trying to run away from the bunny.
The boy began to walk between the shelves and look for a suitable shirt or sweatshirt.
Finally, a gift box with a small handle on the side caught his eye.
Approaching it, the boy twisted the handle out of curiosity, and soon the box opened.
Inside was a brand new T-shirt with the logo of the main star of this mall, as well as the words "I love Glamrock Freddy."
Gregory fell in love with this T-shirt at first sight.
He liked her so much.
And besides, it was so soft and pleasant to the touch that the boy immediately put it on.
The T-shirt was a little big, but was comfortable enough for the size of a small boy.
Now Gregory had everything he needed to continue his difficult path.
However, when he decided to leave, his eyes rested on one of the farthest shelves.
There, one toy looked at him with its sad gaze.
It was plush Freddy.
But he was somehow unusual: instead of an orange body, he was black, and in places his body was green, blue, pink, and yellow. In this toy, all the colors were mixed up.
This is probably why it was on the farthest shelf - because no one wanted to buy it.
Gregory became very sympathetic to this lonely toy.
It seemed to him that he understood very well how this toy felt.
The boy decided that since no one needed this toy, he would take it for himself.
And so, wandering around this strange location with cars in search of a way out, Gregory walks as quietly as he can, clutching his plush toy to his chest.
It was quiet around.
There was no one.
No animatronics, no rabbit.
Even the music wasn't playing.
For the first time in a long time, Gregory felt very calm.
It seemed that everything was already behind, that all the horrors receded.
It seemed to him that...
"NAUGHTY BOY... NAUGHTY BOY... YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASLEEP BY NOW!"
