Chapter 1

Settings
The other day the ADA announced that a spy had been announced among the staff and it was unknown what he would do. No one had any suspicion who it was. *** It was an unremarkable day, it was hot outside the window and the sultry sun was shining brightly, even the fans didn't save from the heat. But the detectives had to work on this date. At some point, the president came in with some not so good news: there was a spy in the Armed Detective Agency. This news stunned everyone, the detectives made guesses and hypotheses, finally they decided to ask the great detective: Edogawa Rampo, but he only shrugged his shoulders, clearly making it clear that he himself does not know anything about anything. *** Now Nakajima Atsushi and Rampo were on the train back to the agency. It became known that Akutagawa Ryunosuke had been injured quite badly, and so the tiger hunt would be suspended. Atsushi himself could exhale calmly, because for some time he would not be tried to kill. "Rampo-san looks calm, even though there is a spy in the Agency" - Atsushi was immersed in his thoughts the whole way, there were many options on who could be a spy, but each employee had their own arguments. At the same time Rampo was looking out the window, he looked calm, as if he didn't care about the whole situation in the ADA. In fact, he was, and he was thinking, or rather remembering, something else. *** Edogawa Rampo was walking down a large and dark corridor, and as he came to a door, he knocked on it and heard the approval to enter. There was a spacious office with panoramic windows that looked out over Yokohama. There were green upholstered chairs on the wall opposite the windows, and a dark wood bedside table between them. There were also cabinets full of books, and a table made of the same dark wood in front of the cabinets. The detective stood at a decent distance in front of the table, where the Port Mafia boss was sitting and explaining his plan of action. - As you already know, Akutagawa is quite seriously injured, so the mission of catching the tiger falls to you, so don't let us down," Mori Ogai, the Port Mafia boss, said in a serious, icy tone, but smirked at the last phrase, realizing that the mission would be accomplished in the best possible way. - Don't underestimate me, boss. It was easy for Rampo to infiltrate a detective agency, and he knew that even if information about a spy came to light, he would not attract much suspicion, and even if he did, he would be called upon for help. Edogawa bowed and hurriedly left the office, returning to the detectives. *** "Everything is going according to plan and Atsushi doesn't suspect anything, any minute now they should be here..." This thought Rampo couldn't finish because of the explosion that happened next to them, but it didn't hit. The figure of the bombs owner, Motojiro Kaji, emerged from the puffs of smoke. - As promised, a spectacular appearance! Atsushi jumped up and was about to activate an ability to defend himself. - I didn't blow up the spy, don't worry - Following him, the silhouette of a guy began to rise out of the smoke, and Kaji turned around and threw that phrase around nonchalantly. Instead of Motojiro, another mobster came out: Dazai Osamu. He looked at the bomber with disdain. - Useless... Can you hear me? Edogawa smirked, raising the glass ball of ramune to the sun, thus seeing his reflection. - I can hear you just fine, mummy) Nakajima turned his head dumbfoundedly at the detective, not realizing what was going on. - Rampo-san. So you are... Atsushi was prevented from finishing his question by a heavy blow to the head. There was no telling when he'd wake up, but they'd make it back to the port in time. - You did a good job, mission accomplished perfectly as always. We'll have to check on Akutagawa later.
