I'm not cute, I'm sexy!

"Oh, 4989, just get over it already," said U-2048, the neutrophil with the straight hair, trying to calm down his younger coworker. "But I'm not cute! I'm just as ferocious, savage, strong, and intimidating as you guys!" 4989 complained, pointing at the other neutrophils, who were trying to hold back their laughter. "You're adorable," muttered U-2001, tousled the younger one's hair, and left on his patrol. "No, I said! I'm a wild beast! I'm scary!" the even more furious 4989 screamed, throwing a tantrum on the ground. The neutrophil with covered eyes, U-2626, laughed so hard he had to hold his stomach, and 2048 squatted beside 4989, trying to cheer him up again: "Hey, it's not so bad to be cute." "I'm not!" "Oh, come on, 4989, sure you are. Listen: I'm the handsome one, 2626 the casanova, 1146 the boy scout, 2001 the serious one, and you're our cutie." 2048 ruffled 4989's hair, whose anger made him look even more adorable. "Why are you the handsome one, eh?" 2626 protested. "Just admit it, I do look better than all of you," 2048 replied, put on a smile and winked at a common female cell, who was passing by. She started blushing. "See?" 4989 jumped to his feet. "I can do that too!" And winked at his friends in order to prove it. But all he managed was too look so adorable it almost hurt. Aaaaoooww! "Dammit! Stop it, I'm not a baby!" he yelled, as his friends started patting his head and pinching his cheeks.  "Look, 4989, I don't agree with labelling ourselves like that. You are an adorable, special cell, which is a great thing," 1146 commented, placing his hand on his coworker's shoulder.  "Yeah, calm down, kid. You are adorable, so what?" 2626 added. "You know what? I will shut your mouths! Just you wait: I'm going to conquer the next cell passing here, and not only that... but also ask her on a date! And she'll say yes! I'll show it to you all!" 4989 decided, making the others laugh even more.  But as luck would have it, the next cell appearing in that place was none other than AE3803, pushing an oxygen cart. "Hello, guys!" The neutrophils looked at 1146, who broke out into a cold sweat, while 4989 headed towards her with determination. "Reddie-chan!" "Eh?" AE was surprised by that strange nickname, but since he was a friend, decided to say nothing. "Do you think I'm handsome?" The other neutrophils facepalmed. "I do," the red blood cell responded with a smile. 1146, 2048 and 2626 were so baffled, their jaws dropped. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" "Why not? That'd be fun." 2626 and 2048 had to hold 1146, whose head was almost boiling at that point. "So you think I'm... attractive?" AE chuckled. "I think you're cute," she said. 1146 calmed down a bit. "Cute?" 4989 was about to throw another tantrum. "And this is what makes you handsome," AE3803 added and went on her way to deliver that oxygen, accompanied by the cutest neutrophil in the world, who turned around to his friends and showed them his tongue. "That damn brat!" 2626 snorted. "Sneaky bastard," 2048 agreed. "Sekkekkyuu..." muttered 1146, placing his hand on his chest, as if something broke inside him. "Oh well, maybe you, too, should try to be 'cute'," 2626 suggested, laughing. "Cute? Yes, I could," 1146 murmured with determination. A sweat drop descended the other neutrophils' necks. They could already sense that this was just the beginning of a whole bunch of problems.
