The epitaph

I'd like to hug you, to soothe you so badly,
to tell you "Don't be afraid to die".
Ease your pain at least for a bit I would gladly
or even better: erase its every trace from your eyes.
"Body, don't give up, don't you dare!"
you shout with the last strength that you have.
But in this world your duty has already ended,
you don't have any time left to spare.
The help from outside is scary and dangerous,
the number of monsters is increasing in size,
here, life is the most precious treasure,
but just too high is its price.
To hang on to life wouldn't make things any better,
there's nothing left for you to do,
it's time to depart to a happier world than the latter
where your friends are already waiting for you.
Regarding your work, you can leave it with pride,
your insecurities having already ceased,
yes, you were just a tiny cell, that aside,
now, you hero, please go rest in peace.
